    摘要: An X-ray generator comprises a container (1) for maintaining a high vacuum or low pressure gas atmosphere internally, a hemimorphic crystal (4), temperature raising/lowering means (3, 5-7), and a metal target (8) for generating X-rays. In this X-ray generator the metal target (8) has a pointed protrusion protruding toward the hemimorphic crystal (4). When X-rays are generated by raising/lowering the temperature of the hemimorphic crystal (4) by using the temperature raising/lowering means (3, 5-7), the intensity of an electric field formed between the hemimorphic crystal (4) and the metal target (8) increases at the pointed end of the protrusion and thus the intensity of X-rays generated through collision of electrons against the metal target (8) increases. Consequently, an X-ray generator employing a hemimorphic crystal, which is capable of generating X-rays with practically sufficient intensity can be provided.

    摘要: A system for treating a selenium-containing liquid includes a concentration measurement element 15 for measuring the concentration of peroxodisulfuric acid and the concentration of tetravalent selenium in the selenium-containing liquid; a setting element 21 for setting the feed amount of bivalent manganese based on the concentrations of peroxodisulfuric acid and tetravalent selenium, and a reaction rate constant ratio which is the ratio of a reaction rate constant in a reaction between bivalent manganese and peroxodisulfuric acid to a reaction rate constant in a reaction between tetravalent selenium and peroxodisulfuric acid; and an addition element 14 for adding bivalent manganese to the selenium-containing liquid such that the bivalent manganese in the selenium-containing liquid is maintained in the above feed amount. Bivalent manganese is added to the selenium-containing liquid by the addition element, whereby oxidation of tetravalent selenium to hexavalent selenium is suppressed.

    摘要: A packaging pouch for packaging an absorbent article has a front, back and side faces. The side faces are folded between the front and back faces. The packaging pouch is rectangular in use. A sealing portion expanding in a transverse direction around the upper end of the packaging pouch, a side face portion that forms the side face of the package, and a top portion that forms the top face of the package by positioning between the sealing portion and the side face portion are formed. Moreover, perforations are formed in the top portion along a reference line extending in the transverse direction from one side edge of the packaging pouch to the other side edge of the packaging pouch. Handle members extending in the transverse direction from around one to the other side edge and are attached to the front back faces in the top portion below the perforations.
