摘要: Disclosed is a collating device for collating the images on a photographic film with those printed on a printing paper from the photographic film while conveying the film and the printing paper. The collating device includes a reading device for reading a frame number for identifying the frame image on the film, and a printing device for printing the frame number which has been read by the reading device on the printing paper on which has been printed the image on the film which corresponds to that frame member. The frame numbers of the film are printed on the printing paper on which have been printed the images on the film. In consequence, the print images on the printing paper are easily made to correspond to the corresponding frame images on the film, and designation of the frames is facilitated.

摘要: Two bar code sensors are disposed at opposite sides of a passage of a photographic film, each bar code sensor having two photosensors disposed along a line perpendicular to the transportation direction of the photographic film. Each time a photographic film is fed by a predetermined distance, signals outputted from the two bar code sensor units are sampled and are compared with the signals obtained at the second preceding sampling timing to convert them into binary signals. Based on the data configuration of binary signals, i.e., based on the discrimination between the start code and end code, or the presence or absence of a clock track, automatic discrimination is performed between DX bar code data and frame number bar code data which then are decoded into a film type and frame number, respectively. The setting conditions of a photographic film also can be determined based on the bar code data configuration. An alarm is output if the setting conditions are not normal. The feed amount of a read-out frame number code is measured to calculate the number of a frame set at the print stage. Reading a frame number bar code may be performed synchronously with reading the DX bar code clock track.

摘要: A photographic paper accommodating apparatus is disposed between a photographic paper printing section and a developing section so as to absorb or retain the slack in a continuous photographic paper fed from the former to the latter which occurs due to a difference between the respective processing speeds at these sections. First clamping and transporting rollers are provided on the downstream side of the printing section so as to define a first photographic paper looping area between the printing section and the first clamping and transporting rollers. Second clamping and transporting rollers are provided on the downstream side of the first clamping and transporting rollers so as to define a second photographic paper looping area between the first and second clamping and transporting rollers. A guide member is movable between a first position at which it guides the photographic paper from the printing section to the first clamping and transporting rollers and a second position at which the guide member guides the paper from the first clamping and transporting rollers to the second clamping and transporting rollers. Accordingly, when the exposure operation at the printing section is resumed after the photographic paper has been cut to suspend the operation, the trailing end portion of the cut photographic paper which has been exposed before the resumption of the operation can be accommodated in the second looping area, and the leading end portion of the following section of the paper exposed after the resumption of the operation can be accommodated in the first looping section.

摘要: When automatically winding a web of photographic paper or film fed from a feeding means such as a roller on a reel core, it is necessary to detect whether the web has been wound on the reel core or not in order to present jams and other inconveniences. The present invention achieves accurate detection of the web winding on the reel core by detecting a driving current of a motor which drives and revolves the reel core and comparing thus detected driving current with a reference value.

摘要: A light source for a photographic printer which is designed so that almost all light energy emitted from a diffusing device can be utilized for printing, thereby markedly improving the light source efficiency. The light source is used in a photographic printer which illuminates a film (F) and projects an image of the film (F) onto photographic paper (P) to print the projected image on the paper (P). A diffuser (BD), which is disposed in an illuminating optical path in the vicinity of the film (F), is caused to perform reciprocative vibration in parallel to its own plane by a vibrating device (B), e.g., a voice coil, during the exposure time, so that, even if an image of dust or a blemish on the diffuser (BD) is formed on the print, the image becomes blurred on the photographic paper (P) because it moves during the exposure process, thereby preventing the print from being affected by the image of such an undesired object. Thus, it is possible to place the film (F) and the diffuser (BD) closer to each other than in the case of the conventional printer light sources. Consequently, the quantity of light that can be utilized for printing can be increased to a considerable extent.

摘要: When printing a frame of a film immediately after developing the film, a mini-lab photofinisher observes the frame that is positioned in a printing station of a mini-lab type printer-processor, so as to input exposure correction data as needed. While positioning the frame in the printing station, frame number bar codes recorded on the film are read to determine the number of the frame. The determined frame number is printed on the reverse of the print image made from that frame. After printing all the frames, a bill printer prints the frame numbers of the printed frames and the corresponding exposure correction data, along with the photofinishing price. When making extra prints, the necessary number of extra prints is written in the bill slip, so that the photofinisher may finish the extra prints with substantially the same quality as the original print by referring to the exposure correction data printed in the bill slip.

摘要: A photoprinter is provided in which a first detecting apparatus detects first information used to specify a magazine from a first information portion provided at each magazine when the magazine is mounted, and a second detecting apparatus detects second information related to setting of the exposure condition of the photosensitive material from a second information portion provided in an end portion of the photosensitive material loaded into the magazine when the magazine is mounted. A memory apparatus causes the first information detected by said first detecting apparatus to correspond to the second information detected by the second detecting apparatus and to store both information therein. A selecting apparatus selects the second information which has already been stored in the memory apparatus in association with the first information which has already been stored in the memory apparatus on the basis of the first information detected by the first detecting apparatus at this time when the magazine is mounted, and a rewriting apparatus rewrites the second information stored in the memory apparatus into second information detected at this time in case that the second information selected does not coincide with the second information detected by the second detecting apparatus at this time. Whereby, the information about the photosensitive material loaded into the magazine can be specified even when the magazine is replaced by another or the photosensitive material is refilled during the course of use.

摘要: In a method of producing reprints, detection is made as to data relative to an image on an original-image film, data relative to an image printed on a printed sheet of photographic paper from the original-image film and correction data representative of desired corrections to be applied to the color characteristics of the image printed on the printed sheet. On the basis of the above-mentioned data, arithmetic operations are performed upon the amount of exposure required for printing the image on the photographic paper from the original-image film. On the basis of the results of the arithmetic operations, exposure control relative to the printing is performed to finish the color characteristics of the image to be reprinted on the photographic paper so that the color characteristics includes the desired corrections applied to the color characteristics.
