Of the plural catalytic units, at least two catalytic units (42) and (43), which are positioned downstream and upstream relative to each other with respect to the direction (X) of flow of the exhaust gases (G), respectively, are such that the downstream catalytic unit (42) has a higher cell density, a smaller capacity of the honeycomb carrier structure and a larger amount of an element, due to become a major catalyst, carried thereby per unitary capacity than those in the upstream catalytic unit (43).

    摘要: An optical sensor circuit has a photodiode PD, a MOS transistor Q1, a voltage controller 13 which supplies a gate voltage and a drain voltage to the transistor, etc. The voltage controller includes initial setting means 15. In the initial setting means, an electrostatic capacitance element of the photodiode is charged/discharged while setting a gate voltage of the transistor Q1 to a high gate voltage value VgH, only for a predetermined time period, and setting a drain voltage to a low drain voltage value VdL, only for a predetermined time period. Thereafter, the drain voltage is set to VdH, and, after elapse of a predetermined time period, the gate voltage is set to VgL.     摘要: A non-destructive weld testing system for testing spot welds includes a weld monitoring tool monitoring at least one weld characteristic of the spot welds and generating weld data based on the at least one weld characteristic; a weld analysis tool analyzing the weld data to determine a weld quality of each spot weld based on analysis criteria; and a non-destructive weld testing tool configured to test spot welds. The weld testing system causes the weld testing tool to target testing of spot welds determined by the weld analysis tool to have a weld quality beyond a threshold weld quality. The weld testing tool may be a robot-mounted phased array transducer generating weld test data based on testing results and provides feedback to the weld analysis tool correlating to the weld test data. The weld analysis tool updates the analysis criteria based on the weld test data.

    摘要: An FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensor is equipped with a plurality of stress detection sensors made up from optical fibers in which gratings that reflect light of a specified wavelength are arrayed, and a stress direction converter that converts stresses applied from the exterior into stresses of a direction in which the gratings are arrayed, and which transmits the stresses to each of the gratings. Consequently, the stress direction converter can transmit stresses, which are applied from a body, to a plurality of gratings.
