    摘要: A developing device includes: a developing roller incorporating a fixed magnet body having a plurality of magnetic poles in a circumferential direction; a regulating member for regulating an amount of toner on the developing roller by means of a magnetic field formed by the regulating member and the fixed magnet body; and a magnetic-field generating member for scraping off, on an upstream of the regulating member in a rotational direction of the developing roller, toner which is not used for development on the developing roller. A relation Bm/Br>1 is satisfied, where Br represents a magnetic flux density of a distal end portion of the regulating member facing a surface of the developing roller and Bm represents a magnetic flux density of a distal end portion of the magnetic-field generating member facing the surface of the developing roller.

    摘要: The present invention provides a toner for a electrostatic latent image development and an image forming method which could print an image having the high quality for a long time period by forming a thin toner layer having a uniform thickness on a developing sleeve and, at the same time, by maintaining a surface of a photoconductor in the clean conditions irrespective of a change brought about by a lapse of time or an environmental change. In a toner for electrostatic latent image development which is used for an image forming apparatus comprising an electrophotographic photoconductor and a developing sleeve which is arranged close to the electrophotographic photoconductor, the toner is externally added with at least silica and titanium oxide to toner particles containing a magnetic powder, wherein assuming Si strength of the toner as ISi, Ti strength of the toner as ITi and Fe strength of the toner as IFe when these strengths are measured by using a fluorescent X-ray analyzing device, the following relationships (1) and (2) are satisfied. 9.0×10−3≦ISi/IFe≦1.0×10−2  (1) 6.0×10−3≦ITi/IFe≦8.0×10−3  (2)

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for impression development which comprises forming a thin layer of a toner on a surface of a developing roller with a plate-like rigid member, and developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoconductor by contacting the thin layer with the electrostatic latent image. The toner comprises toner particles, and prescribed amount of inorganic fine particles (mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 1.0 .mu.m on the volume basis), and/or comprises toner particles which have prescribed distribution of the odd-shape degree of the toner particle (mean value of the odd-shape degree and the proportion of the number of toner particles having the odd-shape degree of not more than 0.2). According to the method for impression development, it becomes possible to form an image having no failures and good image quality.

Further, the invention provides a wind box which can inhibit an NOx generation even in the case of promoting a mixing between a high-temperature combustion gas and an air so as to intend to reduce an unburned combustible. In a wind box having an air port arranged in a back flow side of the burner and supplying a combustion air for a shortfall in the burner, a supply apparatus for supplying a nitrogen oxide generation inhibiting gas is provided in a mixing region between the both or near the mixing region.
