摘要： An electrically-insulating resin portion is formed by applying a resin so as to cover apex portions of coil ends forming a coil end group, that is, weld portions and surfaces of portions where an insulation coating has been removed from free ends of coil segments which constitute joint portions between the free ends. Spaces between radially-adjacent joint portions may be filled by the electrically-insulating resin portion. In addition, air passage spaces may be ensured between circumferentially-adjacent joint portions.

摘要： The present invention provides an electrical power supply system for an automotive vehicle with high reliability and small size in which an adequate power is supplied to both a high power load like a blower motor and a conventional load like a battery by using a conventional alternator.The power supply system for the automotive vehicle comprises: an alternator with an armature winding and a field coil, a stepping-up DC/DC converter for applying a stepped up voltage of a battery to the field coil, a regulator for controlling an output voltage of the alternator by changing the output voltage in response to a rotating speed for supplying a power to the high power load, and for controlling the output voltage to be a charging voltage of the battery.

摘要： In a stator for an alternator includes electric conductors which include a plurality of winding sub-portions in each of which one long strand of wire is bent back outside the slots at end surfaces of the stator core and wound into a wave winding so as to alternately occupy an inner layer and an outer layer in a slot depth direction within the slots a predetermined number of slots apart, and the turned portions of the strands of wire bent back outside the slots at both the end surfaces of the stator core are disposed in a circumferential direction so as to constitute a joint-side coil end and a turn-side coil end and the plurality of windings sub-portions are connected to each other on the joint-side coil end at a first end of the stator core, the average amount of application per unit area of any one of the varnish, with which the joint-side coil end is impregnated and the varnish, with which the counter-joint-side coil end is impregnated, is larger than the average amount of application per unit area of the other of the varnishes. With this construction, there can be obtained a stator for an automotive alternator in which the insulation of a joint-side coil end having no insulation film can be improved and the amount of varnish for impregnation is not unncessarily increased.

摘要： Coil members are obtained by forming width-reduced portions in a wire material over a predetermined longitudinal range generally centered on cutting positions, then removing an insulation coating from the width-reduced portions, and thereafter cutting the wire material at the width-reduced portions. Coil segments are prepared by bending the coil members into a general U shape. Then the coil segments are inserted into the slots in a stator core, and a stator is obtained by welding together the free end portions of the projecting coil segments.
