The device has a liquid crystal panel on which the video image for the left eye corresponding to the video signal for the left eye and the video image for the right eye corresponding to the video signal for the right eye are displayed, and a driving unit which drives the liquid crystal panel by executing at least two times of write-scanning respectively according to the driving amount based on the respective video signal for the left or right eye, wherein in each write-scanning, the driving unit performs an overdrive operation in which the liquid crystal panel is driven according to a driving amount based on a target luminance.

    摘要: A liquid crystal drive unit performs overdrive processing such that when driving a liquid crystal panel so as to increase a brightness toward a target brightness determined by a left-eye video signal or a right-eye video signal, the liquid crystal drive unit drives the liquid crystal panel in accordance with a drive amount corresponding to a brightness of not less than the target brightness and, when driving the liquid crystal panel so as to reduce the brightness toward the target brightness, the liquid crystal drive unit drives the liquid crystal panel in accordance with a drive amount corresponding to a brightness of not more than the target brightness. In the overdrive processing, the drive amount corresponding to the same target brightness differs depending on a scanning position on a display screen of the liquid crystal panel.

    摘要: To realize image conversion processing by means of filtering using a multi-tap structure without requiring that a memory to use has a high-speed capability, a merge circuit 102 merges sampled input image signals for every plurality pieces of continuous pixel data and outputs signals, and a memory element 103 stores approximately one frame of output data from the merge circuit 102. The memory element 103 outputs signals to a memory element 104 in accordance with outputs from a memory element 107 which stores control data which are calculated in advance. The memory element 104 stores a larger number of input signals received from the memory element 103 than the number of taps of a filtering circuit 106, and outputs signals to a selection circuit 105. The selection circuit 105 selects signals required by the filtering circuit 106 from input signals received from the memory element 104 and outputs signals to the filtering circuit 106. The filtering circuit 106 generates output image signals, using input signals received from the selection circuit 105.
