摘要： In an active matrix display device utilizing electro-optical elements such as organic EL elements capable of obtaining a high image quality with a low power, each pixel circuit is provided with: a sampling circuit for sampling a signal voltage on a signal wiring line synchronously with a scan pulse; a reference voltage; and a comparator circuit. In the pixel circuit, the sampled signal voltage is compared with the reference voltage and the display time of each EL device is controlled by the period until the relation between the signal voltage and reference voltage is inverted, to thereby control the light emission time in one frame period.

摘要： An emissive display using an organic electroluminescent device is provided, in which the pixel circuit is simplified, the aperture ratio is increased, high resolution is achieved, and the power consumption is reduced. In the configuration, among the two sets of inverter circuits, one set of inverter circuit is formed by a circuit connecting an organic electoluminescent device and a transistor in series, and a transistor of a memory circuit is omitted. Also, in the mutual connection of the two sets of inverters, display data is inputted to a line connected to the gate of the transistor connected in series with the organic electoluminescent device, and owing to this connection, the write load is reduced, and the high resolution is achieved by enabling to write at high speed.

摘要： An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display module is provided wherein the aperture ratio of the respective pixels thereof improves and such display faults as line defect is prevented so as to allow image to be displayed with high quality. The display module is provided with a capacitor, a first terminal of which is connected to an output terminal of the first transistor as selected by the scanning line and a second terminal of which is connected to the gate placed anterior thereto, wherein the electric current is supplied to an organic emitting device in response to the data signal as supplied from the data line through the second transistor, which turns into on-state condition when the first transistor is put into an off-state condition, and as stored in the capacitor.

摘要： An emissive display having pixels delimited by a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of signal lines intersecting with each other. Each pixel includes a memory circuit having at least a first inverter circuit including an electroluminescent device and including a display control circuit connecting in series a main circuit of at least one first transistor. The memory circuit stores display information of the pixel according to a conduction state or a non-conduction state of the main circuit of the first inverter, and controls an on state and an off state of the electroluminescent device.

摘要： To provide a display device capable of displaying a moving picture with high definition and at high speed. An image display system includes: an image display unit; and a control unit. The control unit has: a block discrimination circuit portion; an image processing portion; a storage portion; and a synchronizing signal generation portion. The block discrimination circuit portion discriminates a moving picture or a still picture to process the image information in accordance with the discriminated result, in which the number of gradations for the image information processed when the discriminated result is the moving picture is lower than when the discriminated result is the still picture. Thereby, the high definition image display and the high speed moving picture display can be effected by reducing the information with lower degree of recognition.

摘要： An image display displays image data on an image display part constructed by a display pixel array. In an image display in which image data input means for inputting image data so that the display pixel array has two neighboring areas having different frame rates (>0) is provided or image data is displayed on an image display part constructed by a display pixel array, there is provided image data input means which can input at least one moving image data and at least one still image data into the image display part at different frame rates (>0). A high precision image display can be realized hardly changing a display pixel rewriting speed. A moving image signal output circuit and a still image signal output circuit output image data to the display pixel array, and they are provided as circuit configurations independent of each other.
