摘要: In the starting clutch, an electrical pump or an engine pump is omitted and a substitutive pump mechanism is obtained with a simple construction thereby to circulate lubricating oil within the starting clutch. There is provided a starting clutch in which lubricating oil supplied form a drive shaft side is circulated within the clutch and input side elements and output side elements are tightened by an axial load to transmit a power and wherein a non-electrically operated pump mechanism is provided within the starting clutch.

摘要: The present invention provides a wet multi-plate clutch comprising a clutch case and hub disposed on a same axis, a first friction engagement element disposed in the clutch case, a second friction engagement element disposed on the hub, and a piston for applying an axial load to the first and second friction engagement elements, and wherein a recessed groove is formed in a surface of the piston opposing to the first and second friction engagement elements, and a wave spring is disposed within the recessed groove, and only a portion of the opposed surface at an outer diameter side or an inner diameter side of the recessed groove urges the respective friction engagement elements.

摘要: A clutch drum for a multi-plate clutch in an automatic transmission is provided at an inner periphery thereof with splines by which friction plates are engaged. Each of the splines has a tooth tip having two circumferential ends. Only one of the circumferential ends of the tooth tip has a curved surface. The splines of the clutch drum may be formed by form rolling using a tooth forming tool including a tooth root. The tooth root may have a circumferentially leading end and a circumferentially trailing end in a rotational direction, with only the circumferentially leading end having a curved surface.

摘要: A double wound band which comprises an annular intermediate band, a pair of annular outer bands each with a free end secured to face the free end of the intermediate band, all three bands with a firctional surface formed on the inner peripheral surface, an anchor portion, an applied portion for receiving the force from an actuator to contract the bands to brake a rotary member. 摘要: A brake band suitable for use in a vehicle transmission is described. The brake band is composed of a band portion, such as a metal strap, and a brake lining bonded at an outer peripheral surface thereof on an inner peripheral surface of the band portion and has an apply side end and an anchor side end located opposite to each other relative to a circumferential length of the brake band. The brake lining is provided with oil-dependent, friction surface cooling grooves having bottom walls, respectively. Each cooling groove is provided with a discharging aperture extending through the bottom wall of the corresponding cooling groove to the outer peripheral surface of the brake lining. Adjacent to the anchor side end of the brake band, the brake lining is also provided with an oil film formation promoter, for example, in the form of one or more recesses not extending to the outer peripheral surface of the brake lining. As an alternative, the oil film formation promoter can also be provided by leaving the brake lining as is, that is, without forming any recess, groove, aperture or the like in the vicinity of the anchor side end.

摘要: A wet-type multiplate clutch has an outer circumferential drum section, an inner circumferential hub, a pressing member, and a clutch engagement unit composed of plural friction plates and separator plates alternately arranged between the drum section and the hub. One of mutually-contacting walls of the drum section and clutch engagement unit and one of mutually-contacting walls of the unit and pressing member are provided at their predetermined contact areas with inclinations such that, when the clutch is out of engagement, the mutually-contacting walls of the drum section and unit and the mutually-contacting walls of the unit and pressing member form wedge-shaped spaces between them, respectively, as viewed in a radially-extending, axial cross-section, said wedge-shaped spaces being gradually reduced in widths thereof toward an exterior in a radial direction and, when the clutch is in engagement, the mutually-contacting walls of the drum section and unit and the mutually-contacting walls of the unit and pressing member radially extend at right angles relative to a central axis of the wet-type multiplate clutch and are in close contact with each other, respectively.
