摘要： A rotor of a spinning reel includes a rotor unit, and a fishing line guide portion. The rotor unit has a body portion that is rotatably mounted on the reel unit, and first and second rotor arms that each extend forward from opposing positions on the outer peripheral surface of the body portion. The fishing line guide portion is mounted only on the first rotor arm. The first and second rotor arms are formed such that a line L1 drawn along the pivot center axis of the fishing line guide portion of and a line L2 drawn through the width-wise center of the second rotor arm and substantially parallel to the first line L1 are on opposite sides of the rotational axis X of the body portion. A spinning reel rotor having a fishing line guide portion arranged on only one rotor arm can maintain rotational balance.

摘要： Drag adjustment knob adjusts the braking force applied to a spool mounted on a spool shaft that has a single-thread first male screw on its front end. The drag adjustment knob includes first and second adjustment units, a transmission unit, and a pressing unit. The first adjustment unit includes a first female screw that screws onto the first male screw. The transmission unit is non-rotatably but axially movably mounted onto the spool shaft to be in contact with the first adjustment unit, and includes a multi-thread second male screw. The second adjustment unit includes a second female screw, which screws onto the second male screw and has a greater screw lead than that of the first female screw. The pressing unit is disposed between the second adjustment unit and the drag mechanism so as to come into contact with both, and is non-rotatable but axially movable with the spool shaft.

The handle shaft has a three piece structure including a tubular main shaft unit, a first shaft portion that is screwed onto one end of the main shaft unit and the master gear shaft, and a second shaft portion that is mounted on the other end of the main shaft unit and the base of the handle arm. In a screw type handle assembly for a spinning reel, it is possible to maintain rigidity of the handle shaft at a high level while reducing the overall weight of the handle shaft.

The fixing bolt 46 includes a non-circular head portion 46a and fixes the fixings shaft 43 to the first support member 40. The anti-rotation member 47 is detachably mounted to the first support member 40 and makes contact with the outer peripheral surface of the non-circular head portion 46a for preventing rotation of the fixing bolt 46.

摘要： A spool of a spinning reel includes a support member, a spool body, a drag mechanism, a first sealing member, and a second sealing member. The support member is detachably connected to a spool shaft. The spool body includes a housing recess that is frontally open and rotatably attached to the support member. The drag mechanism decelerates the spool body and includes a front friction portion that has a press washer with an inner peripheral surface opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a front portion of the support member. The press washer contacts a drag regulation member. The housing recess accommodates the friction portion. The first sealing member seals a gap created between the inner peripheral surface of the press washer and the outer peripheral surface of the support member. The second sealing member seals the gap created between the outer peripheral surface of the press washer and the housing recess.

The cam groove 38 has a first groove section 38b and a second groove section 38c on opposite sides of an intersecting portion 38a. The first groove section 38b and the second groove section 38c have different widths at the intersecting portion 38a.

摘要： Spinning-reel bail-tripping mechanism is a device for returning bail arm from line-releasing posture to line-retrieving posture as rotor rotates in line-retrieving direction. Bail-tripping mechanism includes shifting member that shifts front-to-rear as bail arm pivots; toggle-spring mechanism that urges and toggles bail arm to between the two postures; switching portion, and restraining mechanism. Switching portion comes into contact with the rear end of shifting member and shifts shifting member toward a first position. Restraining means restrains bail arm from returning into line-retrieving posture when bail arm is in line-releasing posture. Restraining means also releases restraint before the rear end of shifting member reaches the peak edge of first inclined face of switching portion as rotor rotates in line-retrieving direction while bail arm is in line-releasing posture. The present invention enables secure retention of bail arm in line-releasing posture, and eases its return from line-releasing posture into line-retrieving posture.
