    摘要: A photosensitized composite material and a material, an element, a device, and the like, which employ the photosensitized composite material, are provided. In the photosensitized composite material, multiphoton absorption compounds are highly sensitized for practical use by utilizing an enhanced plasmon field. The photosensitized composite material has a structure where the multiphoton absorption compounds are linked to the surface of a fine metal particle through linking groups. The fine metal particle generates an enhanced surface plasmon field in resonance with a multiphoton excitation wavelength. The multiphoton absorption compounds have a molecular structure enabling multiphoton absorption. The photosensitized composite material is contained in or used for, for example, a three-dimensional memory material and a three-dimensional recording medium, an optical power limiting material and an optical power limiting element, a photocuring material and a stereolithography system, and a fluorescent material for a multiphoton fluorescence microscope and a multiphoton fluorescence microscope.

    摘要: An information recording medium is provided that includes a recording portion (3), which is irradiated with a recording light or a reproducing light so that information is recorded or reproduced thereto or therefrom. The recording portion (3) contains a first phosphor and a photon-mode photosensitive material. The first phosphor has a property of absorbing a first light having a wavelength of λ1/n and then emitting a second light having a wavelength longer than that of the first light, where λ1 is a wavelength of the recording light. The photosensitive material absorbs the second light and then exhibits a change in an optical constant thereof. A n-photon absorption sensitivity of the first phosphor with respect to the recording light is greater than a n-photon absorption sensitivity of the photosensitive material with respect to the recording light, where n is an integer not less than 2.

    摘要: An optical disk of a system wherein a recording layer is irradiated through a thin film cover layer with a laser beam having a short wavelength, such as a blue laser beam, and the optical disk has a hard coat layer excellent in abrasion resistance, durability of the surface lubricity and transparency. On the surface of the recording layer of the optical disk, a hard coat layer is formed via the thin film cover layer, said hard coat layer being made of a transparent cured product layer of an active energy ray curable composition which comprises a polyfunctional compound having at least two polymerizable functional groups polymerizable by an active energy ray, a modified colloidal silica having an average particle size of from 1 to 200 nm and having the surface modified with a mercapto silane compound, a lubricity-imparting agent having a radical polymerizable functional group in its molecule, and a photopolymerization initiator.
