摘要: A microcomputer monitors, on the basis of outputs from a current sensor and voltage sensor, a voltage drop due to an internal resistance when the drop in the terminal voltage due to polarization occurring during the discharge of a battery is saturated, and a dischargeable capacity of the battery corresponding to the value resulting when the saturated voltage drop of the terminal voltage is subtracted from the chargeable capacity of the battery. Such a configuration provide a battery status monitoring device capable of knowing the battery status correctly, a saturation polarization detecting method which is useful to know the charging state of the battery and a dischargeable capacity detecting method.

摘要: A unit for estimating voltage drop 23a-1 estimates voltage drop of a battery terminal when maximum current is continuously supplied at high rate discharge. A unit for estimating residual discharge capacity 23a-2 estimates residual discharge capacity of the battery for allowing the maximum current to be continuously supplied to a load by subtracting the undischargeable electric charge calculated from the voltage drop estimated by the unit for estimating voltage drop 23a-1 from the dischargeable charge in any state of charge.

摘要: A remaining capacity measuring apparatus of this invention operates as follows. A current value and a voltage value from a current sensor and a voltage sensor respectively provided in a battery connected to a hybrid mechanism portion are sampled every 1 millisecond. Each time when eight pairs (N1) of this current value data and voltage value data are collected, the current values and voltage values are each averaged. When 100 pairs (N2) of the average current values and the average voltage values are obtained, the 100 pair data are plotted on a voltage-current coordinate system. A correlation between the current and voltage is obtained based on the plural data plotted on this coordinate system. When a strong negative correlation is indicated, an approximate line indicating a relation between the voltage and current is obtained. By substituting a predetermined current value for this line, a voltage value is defined and a value corresponding to this voltage value is regarded as a current remaining capacity.
