    摘要: Disclosed are a method and a system for performing handover of a multimode-multiband terminal by using multi-target cells in a mobile communication environment. The method for performing handover of a multimode-multiband terminal using multi-target cells in a mobile communication environment, which increases a probability of handover and improves communication quality by using the multi-target cells in a mobile communication system including a CDMA-2000 system, which includes a base station transmitter and a base station controller and provides a CDMA-2000 service to a terminal requesting connection, and a WCDMA system, which includes a radio transceiver subsystem (RTS) and a radio network controller (RNC) and provides a WCDMA service to the terminal requesting the terminal, comprises the steps of: (a) receiving a WCDMA signal transmitted from the WCDMA system through a WCDMA modem and measuring an energy of carrier/interference of others (Ec/Io) value; (b) turning on a CDMA-2000 modem according to the measured value and entering into an idle state; (c) creating multi-target cell information by monitoring a target cell for handover; (d) requesting handover to the WCDMA system; (e) receiving a handover command from the WCDMA system; and (f) turning off the WCDMA modem and switches a communication link to the CDMA-2000 system through the CDMA-2000 modem.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a fast data call connection method capable of reducing a connection time and increasing the probability of connection success in a CDMA 2000 network.In the fast data call connection method of the present invention, the PDSN transmits a data call connection request message, including an authentication type and a challenge value, to the MS. The MS transmits a data call connection response message, including a response to the challenge value, to the PDSN. The PDSN performs authentication with reference to the data call connection response message, and transmits a data call connection complete message to the MS if authentication succeeds. Accordingly, the present invention is advantageous in that it can reduce connection time, can increase the probability of connection success, and can guarantee compatibility by checking the MS version before a data call connection process is executed.

    摘要: A method and a system for controlling a reverse link rate by using the number of active users who are carrying out communication in a CDMA 1xEV-DO mobile communication system is disclosed. A value of rise-over-thermal (ROT) at each antenna end of a wireless base station is measured and compared with a threshold ROT which defines an allowable limit of the ROT. A reverse activation control bit is set as 0 if the measured ROT value is smaller than or equal to the threshold ROT. The number of the active users is compared with a threshold user number which defines an allowable limit of the active users if the measured ROT value is greater than the threshold ROT. The reverse activation control bit is set as 0 if the number of the active users is smaller than or equal to the threshold user number. The reverse activation control bit is set as 1 if the number of the active users is greater than the threshold user number.
