摘要: In a perfume information processing system, a WEB server that provides contents containing perfume information, a perfume inquiry server that generates a perfume conversion table, and multiple clients that each includes a perfume emitting device are connected to a network. Each client sends information showing a perfume that should be emitted and information showing each stored perfume of its corresponding perfume emitting device to the perfume inquiry server and retrieves a perfume conversion table for converting the perfume that should be emitted into information showing a stored perfume. The client converts the perfume information contained in the contents retrieved from the WEB server into perfume information by referring to the perfume conversion table and controls perfume emission by the corresponding perfume emitting device based on the perfume information, thereby performing perfume emission.

摘要: A method for manufacturing an ink jet head comprises a process to prepare a substrate where ink discharging energy generating elements are arranged; a process to provide a solid layer on the aforesaid substrate for the formation of liquid passages corresponding to the foregoing energy generating elements and at the same time, to provide a solid layer for the formation of a liquid chamber; a process to cover the substrate having the aforesaid solid layers with a resin; and a process to remove the aforesaid solid layers. The thickness of the aforesaid resin layer covering the upper part of at least a portion of the aforesaid solid layer for the formation of the ink passages on the side which is different from the side where the solid layer for the formation of a liquid chamber exists is made thinner than the thickness of the aforesaid resin layer covering the upper part of the solid layer for the formation of the liquid chamber, hence providing a highly reliable ink jet head having an excellent property suitable for cutting process required for obtaining the discharging port portion precisely and accurately as well as a secure adhesion between the resin and the substrate.

摘要: A light receiving member has a support and a light receiving layer. The support has an uneven-shaped surface of a plurality of spherical dimples formed by the impact of a plurality of rigid true spheres on the surface of the support. Each of the dimples has an identical radius of curvature R and an identical width D, wherein the radio D/R of the width D to the radius of curvature R is from 0.03 to 0.07. The light receiving layer is a multi-layered structure having a free surface which formed from an amorphous material containing silicon atoms as the main constituent, at least one of oxygen atoms, carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms, and at least one of hydrogen atoms and halogen atoms. The light receiving layer contains a layer region which functions as a photosensitive layer. The light receiving member, when used with a coherent laser beam as an optical source, acts to prevent the occurrence of an interference fringe pattern during image formation. Further, the light receiving member has a high photosensitivity in the entire visible light region; is photosensitive to longer wavelengths; exhibits a rapid optical response; shows better electrical, optical and electroconductive properties; resists electrical voltage breakdown and is resistant to the effects of harsh environments.

摘要: An apparatus suitable for fabricating a substrate suitable for photoconductive members has a cylindrical rotating vessel surrounded by a housing which contains a plurality of rigid spheres therein. A substrate supporting means is placed within the cylindrical rotating vessel so as to be rotatable coaxially therewith. A supplying means for a surface coating liquid, such as polybutene, is placed at an upper position over the external wall face of the cylindrical rotating vessel. A reservoir for the surface coating liquid is placed at a lower position below the external wall face of the cylindrical rotating vessel. A means to circulate the surface coating liquid to the supplying means is employed.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a recorded matter having an ink-receiving layer of a porous structure. The ink-receiving layer has an image region where an image is formed with a coloring material. The method includes the steps of (i) applying an ink to the ink-receiving layer to obtain an image region where an image is formed with a coloring material contained in the ink, (ii) applying a liquid comprising a non-volatile liquid not dissolving the coloring material to the ink-receiving layer, and (iii) forming a portion in which all or substantially all of the coloring material distributed in a thickness direction of the ink-receiving layer is embedded in the non-volatile liquid by rubbing the non-volatile liquid after it is applied. The non-volatile liquid contains an ester of a saturated fatty acid and an alcohol.
