摘要： In order to reduce manufacturing cost of a base supporting a semiconductor laser, without deteriorating accuracy of mounting of the semiconductor laser, a mounting member is provided between the base supporting the semiconductor laser and the semiconductor laser; and the semiconductor laser and the base are fixedly attached with heat-cured silver paste. The silver paste has a lower curing temperature than an assurance temperature of the semiconductor laser, and a higher heat resistance than an operation temperature of the semiconductor laser. The mounting member is formed of a material having a higher heat resistance than the curing temperature of the silver paste.

摘要： The present invention provides an image display apparatus which includes a red color laser light source that outputs red color laser light; a blue color laser light source that outputs blue color laser light; and a green color laser light source that outputs green color laser light. Further, the green color laser light source includes a semiconductor laser that emits non-visible light; and a wavelength convertor that converts the non-visible light to visible light and thereby outputs a green color laser. 摘要： An image display apparatus having a case supporting laser light source apparatuses emitting laser light of green color, red color, and blue color, a projection optical system; and a cooler that cools the laser light source apparatuses. The case includes: a front wall to which the blue color laser light source apparatus is mounted and a projection outlet of the projection optical system is provided; and a side wall that is connected to the front wall and to which the red color laser light source apparatus and the green color laser light source apparatus are mounted. The cooler is provided on the side wall side. The image display apparatus further includes dichroic mirrors guiding the laser light of respective colors to the projection optical system side. Either of the dichroic mirrors reflects laser light having a wavelength shorter than or equal to the wavelength of the green color laser light.

摘要： An image display apparatus of the present invention includes an air passage formed by connecting an air inlet port and an exhaust port inside a case having the air inlet port and the exhaust port, and an air blower that is arranged in the air passage. At least a part of a heat dissipator of a red color laser light source apparatus having the lowest upper limit of an operating temperature is arranged in the air passage closer to the air inlet port than heat dissipators of other laser light sources and also directly below the cooling fan. Hence, it is possible to provide the image display apparatus that inhibits image quality deterioration.

The case has: a first region that houses a first portion of the controller and is held by the electronic device at least at one portion of the region; a second region positioned away from the electronic device so as to sandwich the first region and houses the image display apparatus main body; and a third region positioned away from the projection port and away from the electronic device so as to sandwich the first region, and houses a second portion of the controller. Therefore, the image display apparatus can be made compact to be installed within an electronic device.

摘要： The present invention provides an image display apparatus that includes a case having an air inlet port and an exhaust port; a cooling air passage that is formed by connecting the air inlet port and the exhaust port; and an optical unit that is provided within the case. The optical unit includes a red color laser light source, a green color laser light source, and a blue color laser light source, and these laser light sources are positioned in the cooling air passage. Further, the image display apparatus has an air blower that cools the laser light sources of the respective colors by introducing air from the air inlet port and exhausting air from the exhaust port; and a lens that is provided on the light-emitting side of the laser light sources. The red color laser light source is positioned closer to an upstream side of the cooling air passage than the green color laser light source and the blue color laser light source. With this, the temperature of the red color laser light source apparatus is not increased by a long period of use, and thereby image quality deterioration is prevented.

摘要： An image display apparatus including a laser light source apparatus with a semiconductor laser as a light source increases the heat releasing ability of the laser light source apparatus in the image display apparatus. In order to accomplish this, a heat sink is provided to a green color laser light source apparatus, which generates green color light by wavelength conversion from infrared light and, therefore, produces a greater amount of heat than the other laser light source apparatuses. In addition, an air flow blocking cover is mounted on the surface of the holder, covering the temperature sensor, to prevent distribution to the temperature sensor of cooling air from the cooling fan disposed adjacent to the red color laser light source apparatus. It is thus possible to comply with laser safety standards.
