摘要: An apparatus for accurately estimating the SOC of a rechargeable battery installed in a hybrid electric vehicle. A voltage variation measurement unit measures terminal voltage variation amount of the rechargeable battery in a no-battery-current state in which a charge-discharge current does not flow in the rechargeable battery. A polarization voltage calculator calculates a polarization voltage from the measured variation amount. An electromotive force calculator subtracts the polarization voltage from a non-load voltage in a state in which a charge-discharge path is open to calculate the electromotive force of the rechargeable battery. An SOC estimator estimates the SOC of the rechargeable battery based on the electromotive force.

摘要: A method of certifying the existence of electronic information released on a network at a time and date. The network connects one or more computer servers and a plurality of client computers with each other. Electronic information of a web page stored in one of the plurality of client computers is accessed using information of its location from one of the computer servers based on a request from one of the client computers. A copy of the electronic information is then obtained. Attribute information is generated from the location, access time, and date when the electronic information is accessed. An electronic certificate may be generated by uniquely specifying the electronic information and the attribute information as inherent information identifying the electronic information. The copy of the electronic information is stored in a memory by tying up the electronic information with the electronic certificate and the attribute information. At least the electronic certificate, the attribute information, and preferably the copy of the electronic information can also be read and provided from the memory to the one of the client computers or its operator as a requester.

摘要: In an endoscope of the present invention, while a cover indicator on a distal cover is aligned with a scope indicator on a main distal part, the distal cover is put on the main distal part in an axial direction at a certain insertion angle. Thereafter, the distal cover is rotated while being thrust in the axial direction. The stoppage of a locking convex part of a hook of the main distal part by a claw of a reinforcement member is released, and the locking convex part of the hook is positioned in a locking ditch of the reinforcement member. The head of the hook is constrained to move in the axial direction by means of a main distal cover that is an elastic member and the claw. The locking convex part is then fitted into the locking ditch reliably. Consequently, the distal cover can be fixed to the main distal part readily, freely detachably, and reliably with high positioning precision.

摘要: A neuron unit processes a plurality of input signals and outputs an output signal which is indicative of a result of the processing. The neuron unit includes input lines for receiving the input signals, a forward process part including a supplying part for supplying weight functions and an operation part for carrying out an operation on each of the input signals using one of the weight functions and for outputting the output signal, and a self-learning part including a generating part for generating new weight functions based on an error signal representing an error between the output signal of the forward process part and a teaching signal and a varying part for varying the weight functions supplied by the supplying part of the forward process part to the new weight functions generated by the generating part. The error signal includes first and second error signal components representing pulse densities.

摘要: An endoscope having a solid-state image pickup device in the distal end of the insert portion of the endoscope, the central axis of the solid-state image pickup device being apart from the central axis of the insert portion. Signal lines connected to the solid-state image pickup device are directed slantingly from the solid-state image pickup device toward the central axis of the insert portion of the endoscope. Thus, the diameter of the bending portion can be reduced without the interference of the signal lines with members contained in the peripheral area of the bending portion of the endoscope.

摘要: A pump furnished with an electrostrictive vibrator which pressurizes ink to be supplied to a head of an ink jet printer. The electrostrictive vibrator is adhered at one end to a diaphragm which closes an ink pressurization chamber, so that the vibrator vibrates integrally with the diaphragm perpendicularly to a plane in which it is adhered to the diaphragm, thereby varying the volume of the pressurization chamber. A vibrator drive signal supply circuit is installed in the pump which includes a time constant generation circuit adapted to apply a time constant to the waveform of a drive signal applied to the vibrator at the time of buildups and falls of the drive signal.
