    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member; a first charging member for electrically charging the image bearing member by being supplied with an oscillating voltage in the form of a DC voltage biased with a common AC voltage during image formation; a second charging member, provided downstream of the first charging member with respect to a movement direction of the image bearing member, for electrically charging the image bearing member by being supplied with the DC voltage and the common AC voltage during the image formation; detecting portion for detecting an AC current passing through the second charging member; and a setting portion for setting, on the basis of a detection result of the detecting portion when a predetermined AC voltage is applied to the second charging member during non-image formation, the common AC voltage applied to the first charging member and the second charging member during the image formation so that a discharge current between the second charging member and the image bearing member is a predetermined value.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus and method in which, when a recording medium on which a gray-scale pattern has been formed is placed upon a platen in a skewed attitude, the resulting offset is corrected and image forming conditions are adjusted to obtain an ideal image. In one one such apparatus, a 256-tone pattern image of a designated color is formed on a recording medium. If the recording medium has been placed upon a platen in a skewed attitude when the pattern is to be read, the position of the pattern image is corrected, the gamma characteristics of a LUT are calculated based upon the correct pattern image and the calculated values for the LUT are set.

    摘要: Light-weight oil having a high octane number is produced from waste plastics containing phthalic polyester and/or polyvinyl chloride at a high yield without producing a phthalic sublimate or a carbonaceous residue by pyrolyzing the waste plastics in an atmosphere of steam or a steam/inert gas mixture. The resulting pyrolyzed oil and pyrolyzed gas may be catalytically cracked in an atmosphere of steam or a steam/inert gas mixture. Dechlorination may be performed before pyrolysis is carried out. Pyrolysis is preferably carried out in the presence of at least one of iron hydroxide, hydrous iron oxide and iron oxide.

    摘要: A lifting load attitude controlling system includes a lifting load pivoting clutch (20) provided between a gyro frame (1) and a gimbal frame (6) for connecting and disconnecting therebetween. Also, a resetting rotating clutch is provided between a resetting rotation driving portion constituted of a resetting oblique rotation driving motor (19) for rotating a gimbal (8) upon returning the gimbal (8) at an initial position and a worm gear, and the gimbal (8) for connecting and disconnecting therebetween. Upon obliquely rotating the gimbal for returning to the initial position, the resetting rotating clutch is placed in the engaged or connected state and the lifting load pivoting clutch is placed in the disengaged or disconnected state. When the resetting rotation driving motor (19) is driven at this condition, a gyro moment is generated upon obliquely driving the gimbal toward the gyro frame (1) (lifting jig 4) via a variable constant torque motor (19) between the gyro frame (1) and a gimbal frame (6). However, since the gyro moment is much smaller than the inertia moment of the lifted load, it provides little influence relative to pivoting motion of the load.
