摘要： A wireless channel selecting apparatus includes: a memory to store data indicating whether each of a plurality of wireless speech channels can be selected or not; and a selector to select the wireless speech channels to be used on the basis of the data stored in the memory. The number of times at which the wireless channels have been determined to be disabled is stored as data in the memory. The selection of the wireless speech channels which have been decided to be disabled is inhibited. The wireless speech channels other than the inhibited channels are selected as speech channels to be used. The inhibition of the channel selection is released after the elapse of a predetermined time from the inhibition.

摘要： In a call transfer apparatus wherein a request to transfer a call between first and second communication partners from the second communication partner to a transfer destination is made, a discriminating circuit discriminates whether the transfer destination can respond. A control unit places the first communication partner in a holding state while it is determined whether the transfer destination can respond. If the transfer destination can respond, the call is transferred. If speech communication with the transfer destination is not possible, the control unit releases the holding state of the first communication partner.

The information provider establishes a physical communication line to the terminal. A first logical link is established on the physical communication line for forwarding a first image from the World Wide Web to the terminal. User identification is received from the terminal, and forwarded to a searcher storing user information and the transmittal conditions of a second message, through a second communication line. An second image appropriate for the particular user is searched for by a searcher from a message database based on the user information and the transmittal conditions, and transmitted to the terminal through a second logical link also established on the first communication line.

摘要： A message searching and system and a terminal, which display messages to terminal users based on their individual characteristics profile, even when a plurality of users use the same terminal and even when users copy and use the same program. The system includes a message user database for storing records defining user characteristics profiles of terminal users, and a transmittal condition database for storing searching conditions for each message which may be transmitted to the terminal. This system detects a necessity to revise the user characteristics when communicating with the terminal, and revises the user characteristics if necessary. This system reads user characteristics from the message user database, and searches for appropriate messages from the transmittal condition database based on the user characteristics and characteristics associated with each message identifier. The message user database stores each user's birth date and the last system communication date. The user's characteristics profile is updated based on various conditions. For example, if the date obtained by adding a predetermined period to the user's birth date is after the last communication date with the user, the characteristics profile is revised.
