摘要： In a call transfer apparatus wherein a request to transfer a call between first and second communication partners from the second communication partner to a transfer destination is made, a discriminating circuit discriminates whether the transfer destination can respond. A control unit places the first communication partner in a holding state while it is determined whether the transfer destination can respond. If the transfer destination can respond, the call is transferred. If speech communication with the transfer destination is not possible, the control unit releases the holding state of the first communication partner.

摘要： A wireless channel selecting apparatus includes: a memory to store data indicating whether each of a plurality of wireless speech channels can be selected or not; and a selector to select the wireless speech channels to be used on the basis of the data stored in the memory. The number of times at which the wireless channels have been determined to be disabled is stored as data in the memory. The selection of the wireless speech channels which have been decided to be disabled is inhibited. The wireless speech channels other than the inhibited channels are selected as speech channels to be used. The inhibition of the channel selection is released after the elapse of a predetermined time from the inhibition.

When predetermined conditions are satisfied, the recording is played back or transferred. The shared recording area can be utilized effectively by erasing a recording after it has been transferred, and by detecting the presence of a voice during a telephonic communication and starting and stopping the recording operation based upon the results of detection. The time at which a recording has been made can be comprehended in the form of a voice when the recording is played back.

摘要： An allowable error used for compressing time-series data can be set without knowledge of equipment. It is possible to prevent the data from being lost not only in the event of an abnormality, but also during a period in which an evidence of a predicted abnormality is detected. In addition, it is also possible to verify the properness of a set allowable error. Thus, the amount of data gathered and stored in a memory can be reduced without losing information required for detection of an evidence of a predicted abnormality occurring in the equipment of interest. As a result, it is possible to provide a time-series data diagnosing/compressing method capable of gathering time-series data with a high degree of efficiency and a data gathering/storing apparatus adopting the method. That is to say, in accordance with the present invention, there is provided a predicted-failure-evidence diagnosing section not depending on the equipment and not requiring knowledge of the equipment and, on the basis of a result of a predicted-abnormality-evidence diagnosis carried out by this section on time-series data gathered from the equipment, an allowable error used for compressing the gathered data can be set and managed in order to compress the data if the result of the diagnosis is normal or restrict the compression of the data during a period in which an evidence of a predicted abnormality is detected. Thus, the amount of data stored in a memory can be reduced.
