摘要： A compatible disc player includes a first tray for carrying an LD arranged to protrude and withdraw from and into a player housing and a second tray for carrying a CD mounted on the first tray, in such a manner as to be movable in directions of the movement of the first tray, and the first and second trays are latched or released to and from each other by use of a latch mechanism in response to a selected one of an LD playing mode and a CD playing mode. The disc player is provided with a single position signal generating switch for sensing positions of the trays, for example, a position in which the trays are completely protruded, and the timing of operation of the switch is changed depending on whether the first tray is moved or the second tray only is moved. Further, the operation of the latch mechanism is controlled by an engagement of a pickup of the player with the latch mechanism.

摘要： A compact bookshelf type record player having a back and forth movable slide base. The slide base is movable between a receiving position, a play position and a record change position. A tone arm is mounted on a fixed chassis of the player cabinet. The positions of the slide base is controlled by operational switches. 摘要： A recording medium conveying device for conveying a recording medium to a playing position through an inserting opening formed in a player housing, which includes: a base body provided in the player housing; a movable bearing member for bearing the recording medium, the movable bearing member being provided on the base body in such a manner that the movable bearing member is movable between a protruding position outside of the player housing and an accommodating position inside the player housing; and a driving mechanism for moving the bearing member. The driving mechanism includes: a rack (5) provided on one of the base body and the bearing member , in such a manner that the rack (5) is extended in a direction of movement of the bearing member; a gear unit (49) provided on the other of the base body and the bearing member, and engaged with the rack (5); and a torque applying mechanisn for applying torque to the gear unit (49). The gear unit includes a pair of circular gear different in diameter from each other which are stacked coaxially as one unit, and an arcuate relay gear (49e) having a pitch circle which internally touches the pitch circle of one of the pair of circular gears which is larger in diameter and externally touches the other, and connecting the pair of circular gears to each other. The rack (5) has straight portions (5g) engageable with the pair of circular gears (e.g. 49a), and a curved portion (5r) engageable with the arcuate relay gear (49e).

摘要： A skew adjusting apparatus for an optical disc player makes a positional adjustment of a guide member of a carriage for a pickup relative to a chassis. A movable body is disposed on the chassis. The movable body has at one end thereof a supporting member for the guide member and the other end thereof a connection member to the chassis. An adjusting device for making a positional adjustment of the guide member through the supporting member in the thickness direction of the chassis is disposed between the chassis and the movable body so as to be displaced from the guide member and the supporting member on a reference plane of the chassis.

摘要： A disk player has a disk cartridge for being loaded thereon, and accommodating a disk-type recording medium. The disk cartridge has a shutter arranged thereon, for performing slide-opening/closing in order to expose an information surface of the disk-type recording medium. The disk player includes a carrier mechanism for carrying the disk cartridge to an information regenerating location and an information recording location, and a shutter sliding mechanism for slide-opening/closing the shutter. The shutter assumes an intermediate position of sliding when the disk cartridge is located at one of the information regenerating location and. the information recording location, and assumes a terminal position of sliding when the shutter is located at the other one of the locations. The disk player also includes a driving mechanism including an engaging element and an engaged element which is separated from the engaging element when the information recording mechanism is not driven.

摘要： A disk player includes a player housing. A turntable and a plurality of trays in which corresponding disks are detachably placed are disposed in the player housing. The trays are juxtaposed in such a manner that the surfaces of the trays are substantially in parallel with the disk bearing surface of the turntable. The disk player further includes a circular gear section for moving the plurality of trays to a playing position, a waiting position, and an ejecting position; and a drive section for rotating the circular gear section. Further, a circular cam mechanism is engaged with the circular gear so as to be turned thereby, the circular cam mechanism having cam section for moving a pickup section vertically in accordance with the position of the disk at the playing position.
