A memory controlling method adapted for driving a memory within a computer system is disclosed. When the computer system is booted, the memory is driven and tested via the BIOS. The memory controlling method performs tests on multiple controlling signals of the memory. The memory controlling method includes steps of: detecting an active window of each controlling signal; determining whether the active windows is larger than a predetermined window; performing a parameter adjustment on the controlling signals if one of the active windows is smaller than the predetermined window; performing a phase range test between two of the control signals if the active windows are larger than the predetermined window; performing a phase adjustment on the active windows of the controlling signals if the controlling signals fails in the phase range test; and driving the memory according to the adjusted controlling signals.

A touch sensing substrate includes a substrate, first and second sensing series, a first dielectric layer, first and second dummy sensing series, a second dielectric layer, and a common electrode. The first sensing series are electrically insulated from each other, and so are the second sensing series. The first and the second sensing series are covered by the first dielectric layer. The first and the second dummy sensing series are disposed on the first dielectric layer. The first and the second dummy sensing series are disposed above the first and the second sensing series, respectively, and the dummy sensing series and the sensing series corresponding thereto have the same potential. The first and the second dummy sensing series are covered by the second dielectric layer. The common electrode is disposed on the second dielectric layer. A touch sensing liquid crystal display having the above-mentioned touch sensing substrate is also provided.

A liquid crystal display device uses a first quarter-wave retardation film and a hybrid aligned nematic film to reduce light leakage in dark state for reaching high contrast ratio, and uses multiple-gamma IC to provide different gamma-curve signals for pixels of different colors to solve color shift problem. In addition, the liquid crystal display device may use a second quarter-wave retardation film to reduce light leakage when viewed in a wide angle so as to further provide higher contrast ratio.
Abstract:
A single-gap transflective LCD panel having a voltage divider in each sub-pixel for reducing the voltage potential across part of the liquid crystal layer in the sub-pixel. In a normally-black LCD panel, the voltage divider is used to reduce the voltage potential across the liquid crystal layer in the reflection area. In a normally-white LCD panel, the voltage divider is used to reduce the voltage potential across the liquid crystal layer in the transmission area. The voltage divider comprises two poly-silicon resistor segments connected in series between a data line and a common line via one or more switching elements controlled by a gate line signal. With poly-silicon resistor segments being disposed in the reflection area below the reflective electrode, the optical quality of the upper electrode and the transmissive electrode is not affected by the voltage divider.
Abstract:
A display capable of providing 2D and/or 3D images. The display comprises a liquid crystal display device and a self-emissive display device. The self-emissive display device is disposed on the rear of the liquid crystal display device, in which the liquid crystal display device provides a first image and the self-emissive display device a second image and a backlight source. One of the first and second images comprises a parallax barrier pattern for forming a three-dimensional (3D) image, and the other is a 2D image.

A controllable power supply device with a step-up function including a constant voltage generator, a programmable voltage generator, a first switch and a linear regulator is provided. The constant voltage generator is used to provide an initial voltage. The programmable voltage generator is used to receive the initial voltage and adjust the received initial voltage to boost the initial voltage to a power supply voltage. The first connecting terminal of the first switch is used to receive the initial voltage, the second connecting terminal of the first switch is used to receive the power supply voltage, and the third connecting terminal of the first switch is coupled to one of the first connecting terminal and the second connecting terminal. Therefore, the voltage from the third connecting terminal of the first switch is stabilized and is outputted as the output voltage of the controllable power supply device by the linear regulator.
