    摘要: The invention concerns a regulable shock-absorption valve system for the dashpot in a motor vehicle. It has two shock-absorption valves. Each valve consists of an electromagnetic bolt that slides back and forth and operates in conjunction with at least one port and of a pressure-sensitive valve for the suction stage and for the compression stage, mutually coaxially accommodated in an essentially cylindrical housing and capable of communicating by way of hydraulic-fluid channels. The pressure-sensitive valves (7 & 8) in accordance with the present invention rest on a simple or complex component (15) with its ends permanently or temporarily secured in a bore that extends through the center of the pole cores (17 & 18) of the electromagnets (11) that actuate the bolts (5 & 6). The advantages of the present invention are direct transmission of the shock-absorption forces and simpler assembly of the system.

    摘要: A variable dashpot for motor vehicles. It comprises a vibration-suppressing piston-and-cylinder mechanism. The cylinder contains displacement fluid. The piston divides the cylinder into two displacement compartments. The piston has a piston rod attached to it. The piston is provided with pressure-dependent valves that vary the level of vibration suppression. The vibration-suppression valve system has two vibration-suppressing valves (2) accommodated in alignment in a cylindrical valve housing (1). Each vibration-suppressing valve consists of an axially displaced electromagnetic plunger (5 or 6) that operates in conjunction with at least one outlet (3 or 4) and of at least one pressure-sensitive valve (7 or 8) on stream parallel or in alignment with the plunger.

    摘要: A regulable hydraulic dashpot for motor vehicles with a shock-absorption piston equipped with pressure-sensitive throttle valves traveling back and forth on the end of a piston rod inside a shock-absorption cylinder full of shock-absorbing fluid and dividing the cylinder into two displacement chambers. A gas-filled pressure-compensation chamber operates in conjunction with one displacement chamber. A shock-absorption performance-curve selection valve is positioned outside the cylinder and opens and closes a bypass. To create a hydraulic-fluid channel, the cylinder comprises two parts of different width between the two displacement chambers. One of the parts overlaps the other to the length of the stroke traveled by the piston and its open end is sealed tight to the outer part. The outer part is provided with two hydraulic-fluid conveying connections into the shock-absorption performance-curve selection valve. The parts of the cylinder between the connections are sealed off from each other by a sealing component.

    摘要: A regulable hydraulic dashpot for motor vehicles. It features a shock-absorbing piston (1) and a shock-absorbing cylinder (2). The piston travels into and out of the cylinder on a rod (21). The piston divides the cylinder into two hydraulics compartments (3 & 4). The piston accommodates constrictions that incorporate pressure-sensitive valves (26 & 27). The piston has at least one bypass port. A system of (34) of electromagnetically operated valves reroutes the bypass ports in accordance with whether the dashpot is in the suction state or the compression phase. The object is continuous regulation of the level of shock absorption in a dashpot, rapid response to frequent actuation, an easy-to-establish base line, and a simple design. A slide-valve bolt (13) is associated with the routing (5, 9, 10, & 6) of the bypass during the suction phase. Another slide-valve bolt (14) is associated with its routing (6, 8, and 7) during the compression phase. Each slide-valve bolt is subject to a spring (11 & 12) that forces it to maintain the bore closed. The bolts accommodate pilot reservoirs (15 & 16) that are provided with hydraulic fluid through a port in the bolt from whichever hydraulics compartment is pressurized. The pilot reservoirs communicate through a hydraulic-fluid line (17). The line can be opened and closed to various extents by an electromagnetically controlled bolt (18). Fluid flows out of the pilot reservoir in whichever slide-valve bolt is subjected to pressure through the port in whichever slide-valve bolt is not subjected to pressure.

    摘要: Inhibitors of AMPA-type glutamate ion channels are useful as biochemical probes for structure-function studies and as drug candidates for a number of neurological disorders and diseases. Disclosed herein is the identification of an RNA inhibitor or aptamer by an in vitro evolution approach and characterization of its mechanism of inhibition on the sites of interaction by equilibrium binding and on the receptor channel-opening rate by a laser-pulse photolysis technique. The aptamer of the invention is a noncompetitive inhibitor of AMPA-type glutamate ion channels, one that selectively inhibits the GluA2Qflip AMPA receptor subunit without any effect on other AMPA receptor subunits or on kainate or NMDA receptors. Furthermore, the aptamer preferentially inhibits the closed-channel state of GluA2Qflip with a KI=1.5 μM or by ˜15-fold over the open-channel state. The potency and selectivity of this aptamer rival those of small molecule inhibitors. Together, these properties make the aptamers of the present invention promising water-soluble, highly potent, GluA2 subunit-selective drugs.
