Abstract: A communication system includes a plurality of groups of wireless units and each group includes a plurality of wireless units. Each wireless unit of each group includes a processor and is in full-duplex communication with each of the other wireless units of the corresponding group. Abstract: An electronic assembly includes a circuit board including a plurality of electrically conductive traces, a cover layer disposed on the circuit board, and a plurality of antenna assemblies disposed on a major top surface of the cover layer and exposing the major top surface therebetween. Abstract: A curved display includes a display panel having a curved major surface and a light control film disposed proximate the display panel. The curved major surface is curved about a first axis, and a central portion of the curved major surface has a surface normal along a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis. The light control film includes a major surface having a substantially same shape as the curved major surface and includes a plurality of alternating optically transmissive and optically absorptive regions. In a cross-section orthogonal to the first axis, a transmissive region and adjacent absorptive regions define a central ray transmission direction through the optically transmissive region such that a light ray emitted by the display panel and transmitted through the optically transmissive region along the transmission direction is refracted upon exiting the curved display into a direction substantially parallel to the second axis.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a polymerizable composition. The polymerizable composition includes a phthalonitrile resin, a curative, and a polyoxometalate of Formula I: Hn[XM12O40] (I). The method includes mixing a polyoxometalate of Formula I with at least one of a curative or phthalonitrile resin and mixing at least a portion of the curative with at least a portion of the phthalonitrile, thereby forming a polymerizable composition. The method further comprises subjecting the polymerizable composition to a temperature of 180° C. to 250° C., to form an at least partially polymerized article and subjecting the at least partially polymerized article to a temperature of 300° C. to 350° C. to complete polymerization of the article.

A method of operating a hearing protection device (10, 10′) comprises the steps of providing a haptic sensing unit (11, 11a, 11b) having a haptic sensor (146a, 146b, 146c) configured to sense a touch pattern occurring on at least a first portion of the hearing protection device (10, 10′), optionally of the at least one earmuff (12, 14) or earplug (12′, 14′) and/or of the headband (18, 18′); executing a command when the haptic sensor senses (146a, 146b, 146c) a touch pattern occurring on at least a first portion of the hearing protection device (10, 10′), optionally at least one earmuff (12, 14) or earplug (12′, 14′) and/or of the headband (18, 18′); and triggering a particular state for the hearing protection device (10, 10′) based on the touch pattern sensed, wherein the it provides for a button-less hearing protection device (10, 10′) not requiring space and holes in the outer shell. Just tapping on a portion of the hearing protection device (10, 10′) will initiate operational switching thereof, i. e.—upon sensing of a touch pattern, a command is executed.
