摘要: A method for producing a sector conductor for electric power cables is introduced, whereby a number of metal wires are joined closely together into a core (8) with a sector-shaped cross section. A lengthwise running metal strip is formed around the core (8) and its longitudinally abutting edges are welded into a tube (9), whose dimensions are reduced so that it lies closely against the core (8) and surrounds it.

摘要: A method is indicated for igniting a welding arc between a fixed electrode and a metal workpiece to be welded, whereby a covering protective gas is supplied by a nozzle that extends into the welding area. Before a welding power source is switched on for the welding arc, an auxiliary arc supplied by an auxiliary power source is ignited, which ignites the welding arc after the welding power source is switched on. To better ionize the welding area and ensure the ignition of the auxiliary welding arc, a high-frequency electric arc is produced in the welding area between the nozzle and the workpiece by means of a pulse generator which produces high-frequency high-voltage pulses.

摘要: A device or transmitting signals between two terminals is indicated, where at least one of them is moveable with respect to the other. The terminals are connected by at least one line wound in turns, which is stored in an essentially circular cassette. The turns of the line are divided into an inner winding area and an outer winding area running in different directions, between which an approximately U-shaped reversing area is located. A one-piece ring-shaped guide (14) is located between the two winding areas and surrounds the reversing area of the turns. At least on the inside facing the inner winding area, the guide (14) has protrusions (15) that are distributed around the entire periphery and face radially out toward the center point (M), and which are offset with respect to each other in the peripheral direction. On the inside that faces the winding area, it has convex curved walls (16) between each two protrusions (15), where their minimum distance from the center point (M) of the guide (14) is larger than the minimum distance of the protrusions (15) from the same point. In the transition areas between the walls (16) and the protrusions (15), at least on the side that faces away from the direction of rotation of the guide (14) when the internal winding area increases, at least one nub (17) is located, which has a smaller minimum distance than the pertinent wall (16), but a larger minimum distance than the pertinent protrusion (15), from the center point (M) of the guide (14).

摘要: An arrangement for tightly enclosing a substrate with a heat-shrinking plastic sleeve (1), which has thickened sections (2, 3) along its longitudinal edges, has at least two rails (4, 5) pushed on the sleeve (1) after it has been placed around the substrate. The rails hold the longitudinal edges of the sleeve (1) together before, during and after the heat-shrinking. The two rails (4, 5) form a junction area and S-shaped profiles (6, 7) are placed in the junction area on both sides of the thickened edge sections (2, 3) and are enclosed by both of the rails (4, 5).

摘要: A high frequency coaxial cable (1) contains a concentric internal conductor (3), a cylindrical insulating layer (7) surrounding the internal conductor (3) and made of a foamed plastic containing more than 50% by volume of air, a tubular external conductor (9) placed over the insulating layer (7), and an outer sheath (11). Cutouts (15, 15') are made in the insulating layer (7) by removing insulation material starting at the periphery (13) of the insulating layer and extending radially inward. These cutouts (15, 15') make it possible to increase the dielectric properties of the insulating layer between internal conductor (3) and external conductor (9).

摘要: A method for electrically connecting two electrical lines. Each electrical line contains at least two electrical conductors that are insulated from each other, and one common sheath surrounding the electrical conductors. One of the two lines (2) is equipped with insulated conductors and is flexible, while the other line (1) has a stiff, tubular metal sheath. To produce a moisture-proof connection between the conductors of the electrical lines, first the sheath is removed from a section of the conductors of the flexible line (1) and insulation is removed from the conductors so that the ends are bared. The conductors prepared in this manner are placed in a flexible rubber seal (10) containing passage holes to separate the conductors. After that, the conductors of the flexible line (1) are electrically connected to the conductors of the other line (2) which protrude from the metal sheath. A metal tube (13) is then positioned over the entire connection area. Finally, one end of the tube (13) is securely connected to the metal sheath and the other end is compressed around the around the seal (10).

摘要: In a method for producing internally grooved tubes for heat exchangers, a smooth metal tape is drawn from a circular supply, a rolling mill provides it with a number of grooves that are parallel to each other and run at an angle of 15.degree. to 45.degree. with respect to the lengthwise direction of the tape, the tape is continuously formed into a tube with a lengthwise slot, and the slot is welded. At least two groups of parallel grooves are rolled into the surface of the metal tape so that the grooves form a herringbone pattern.
