Abstract:
The present inventive subject matter provides a headphone with a cord support that permits storage of a cord. The headphone can be moved between a closed configuration and an open configuration through extension or eversion of a headphone element or elements. In the open configuration, a structure or a surface is exposed that provides a support for winding and storage of the cord.
Abstract:
An aftermarket remote vehicle control system that utilizes a factory remote door lock/unlock fob to remotely control devices on the vehicle and to control the vehicle security features and locking functions. The system is in communication with a vehicle data bus system to determine data signals transmitted on the vehicle data bus associated with RF signals received from a factory fob. The system emulates a factory programmed signals on a vehicle data bus when a predetermined set of data command signals are received.
Abstract:
A speaker assembly comprises a portable device receiver and leg, allowing users to enjoy hands free viewing or listening experience. The sound system can be configured to provide an enhanced listening experience via at least one of a virtual surround system, a speaker driver, one or more speakers, adjustable control functions, and retained or increased acoustic power.
Abstract:
A sound system configured to play audio files in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments is disclosed. The system includes a housing, a speaker, a power supply, and a mounting attachment that provides protection for sensitive system components and allow the system to be securely attached to a variety of surfaces and objects.
Abstract:
A security system is disclosed with a digital processor-based wireless remote controller that sends command to perform system operations and receive confirmation of various aspects of the system. The security system monitors environmental and vehicle system parameters and automatically provides commands or prohibits issuance of commands to operate vehicles systems based on preset environmental and vehicle system conditions. The system reports command and response status to users through the remote controller.
Abstract:
A remote engine start confirmation and vehicle monitoring and control system includes a transmitter and a controller capable of receiving and processing transmitter signals, the controller comprising a monitoring circuit for detecting a first pulsed voltage pattern and a second pulsed voltage pattern across the battery during an engine start procedure, a signaling circuit for signaling the disengagement of the starter from the engine after a detection of the termination of the first pulsed voltage pattern and the start of the second pulsed voltage pattern, and an initiation circuit for initiating the monitoring of a vehicle condition, such as overheating or low fuel, after the detection. A method for controlling the vehicle operation includes detecting an occurrence of a vehicle condition and performing an operation based on the detection, such as terminating ignition voltage or fuel supply or notifying the operator of the vehicle condition via the transmitter.
Abstract:
A system and method is described for a vehicle remote starter with an advanced dynamic scheduling system. The system and method utilizes a cellular telephone, interfacing with standard scheduling software, and capable of communicating with the Internet to gather real time data and communicating through a wireless telecommunication network with a vehicle to send vehicle remote start and other commands; an electronic scheduling system utilized within or accessible by the cellular telephone; a cellular telephone based and/or vehicle based GPS location module for determining the location of the vehicle and the cellular telephone at any particular point in time; a set of coded instructions that actively queries the Internet for real time data and that queries the electronic scheduling system to determine the time and location of a scheduled meeting, evaluating various vehicle operational parameters, the distance of the cellular phone from a vehicle, various environmental parameters, the distance from a vehicle to meeting location, the travel time required to timely travel and attend the scheduled meeting, and either prompting the user to actively send a remote start command signal to the vehicle or automatically sending the remote start command signal.
Abstract:
A security system is disclosed having a base controller, a base transceiver, a remote control, and a passive locking prevention device. The passive locking prevention device includes a detection device preferably located within the passenger compartment of the vehicle for detecting the remote control. The detection device preferably has a detection range extending only to the inside of the vehicle. The passive locking prevention device is configured such that the vehicle will not passively lock when the passive locking prevention device detects the remote control. The passive locking prevention device can be connected to the base controller via a wired or wireless connection. The remote control can contain an emission device that emits a detectable signal by the detection device, and upon such detection, the vehicle is prevented from locking. The system can visibly or audibly alert a vehicle owner if the vehicle is not passively locked.
