    摘要: An electrode for an iontophoretic drug delivery system includes a retainer having a malleable characteristic. The retainer and a conductor are connected to a platform. The conductor and a dose controller are electrically coupled to the iontophoretic drug delivery system. A drug delivery matrix is operably connected to the platform and proximate the conductor wherein the conductor, the drug delivery matrix, and the dose controller cooperate to deliver a drug to a user when the electrode is affixed to the user and operably connected to the iontophoretic drug delivery system.

    摘要: Electrotherapy systems and methods for delivering an electrostimulation treatment program to a user while reducing the risk of inducing cardiac fibrillation. The systems and methods detect electrostimulation treatment program delivery characteristics, including a pulse intensity above a preset limit; a pulse duration above a preset limit; an inappropriately compensated pulse; a charge per pulse above a predetermined limit; a current improperly exiting from a stimulation channel; a current present outside of a pulse; an excitation pulse and a compensation pulse generated on different channels; an inter-pulse time less than a predetermined limit; and a time between an excitation and a compensation pulse greater than a predetermined limit. The limits are selected in relation to an objective of reducing the risk of inducing cardiac fibrillation.

    摘要: The electrical nerve stimulation unit in accordance with the present invention generally includes a housing, an input panel, a display panel, a controller, a first channel output, a second channel output, and a power system. While the device is generally described in terms of use as a TENS unit, it must be noted that other nerve stimulation applications for the device are envisioned as well. The myriad of intelligent and proactive programmable software functions and features of the present invention are executed on the controller's microprocessor. For instance, open lead monitoring, soft recovery implementation, compliance monitoring, and enhanced power management are all controlled and monitored through the interfacing of the processor with the various devices and hardware on the unit's hardware platform.

    摘要: A therapeutic treatment table includes a frame and a table section for supporting at least a portion of the body of a patient. The table section includes a body support and a drop mechanism that is mounted between the frame and the body support and adapted to drop the body support from an upper position to a lower position. A fluid actuator is mounted between the frame and the body support and adapted to raise the body support from the lower position to the upper position, and a mechanism is provided for controlling the flow of fluid to the fluid actuator in order to control the rate by which the fluid actuator raises the body support from the lower position to the upper position.
