摘要: The invention concerns a label dispenser to dispense and deposit stick-on labels, whereby in each operational cycle one stick-on label is moved into a dispensing position below a compression roller with a contoured surface and a sleeve by means of which the compression roller is rotatably supported on a fixed shaft. The compression roller comprises individually designed cross-sectionally contoured rings which rest through spring elements mounted to their interiors on the sleeve.

摘要: Photosensitive materials for use in the making of dry transfer material are described which comprise two carrier sheets which may be peeled apart and three interlayers. The central interlayer is an image-forming layer e.g. a pigmented polymer with a photocrosslinkable or photopolymerizable layer on one side and an adhesive layer on the other side. A dry transfer is obtained by imagewise exposing through a photographic positive and peeling apart the carrier sheets. Thereafter the material is further irradiated e.g. with UV light, to give a dry transfer material.

摘要: Apparatus for printing and applying pressure-sensitive labels carried on a release liner of supporting material where the label stock advancement mechanism is a feed wheel which advances the release liner. A brake prevents movement of the label stock during application of a label. A ratchet and pawl arrangement incrementally advances the feed wheel each time a hand lever is returned to its rest position. At the same time, a second ratchet and pawl arrangement is effective to remove the brake during the incremental label stock advancement. The feed and brake release ratchets are preferably integrally connected to opposite sides of the feed wheel. Mechanisms are also provided for ensuring removal of the brake prior to incremental label stock advancement and for manually latching the brake in its released position during loading of label stock in the apparatus.An inking roller mechanism for the apparatus print head includes a latching mechanism which in a first position latches the ink roll in place and in a second, non-latching position permits removal and replacement of the ink roll without tools. Further, the print head construction is such that one of a different number of print heads may be secured into the apparatus, again without tools. Further, the print head includes a plurality of print bands mounted on upper and lower drive gears where the lower drive gears are hexagonal in shape. A selector shaft which may be shifted to a selected print band and then rotated to rotate the print band to a selected position includes a selector shaft detenting means which detents the shaft close to the axis thereof.

摘要: A structure for displaying articles on vertical surfaces. Included in the structure is a frame assembly for retaining the display article and a pair of frame hangers retained by the frame assembly and adapted to receive the ends of a supporting strand. The frame assembly comprises a plurality of joined elongated frame sections; each frame section comprising a longitudinally extending channel defined by a rear wall, a pair of side walls joined to the rear wall, and a pair of front wall lips each having one edge joined to a different one of the side walls and opposite edges spaced apart by a slot that opens into the channel. Each frame hanger is retained by a channel of a different frame section and comprises a latch arm portion extending into a portion of the channel defined by the rear wall, one of the side walls and one of the front wall lips, an inner end of the latch arm portion engaging the rear wall; a base portion having one end projecting out of the channel through the slot and joined to the latch arm portion, the one end engaging the opposite edge of the one front wall lip and the base portion defining a tapped hole; a lever portion extending from an end of the base portion opposite to the one end and defining an engagement surface; a fastener having a head and a threaded shank received by the tapped hole, the head comprising first and second diametrically opposed contact surfaces, the first contact surface engaging the engagement surface and the second contact surface engaging an outer surface of the one side wall; and a retainer adapted to retain one end of a frame supporting strand.

摘要: The invention concerns a device for separating tape portions of mutually equal length from a tape of flexible material. Said tape is provided with a plurality of slots spaced at mutually equal distances, said slots extending obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction of the tape substantially over the whole width thereof, so that short unslotted edge portions are left at each tape edge. Said tape passes through a guide channel along a first bottom portion thereof and over a steplike ledge at its end and below an adjacent elongated member which resiliently presses said tape into engagement with a subsequent second bottom portion of the guide channel. Said elongated member and said second bottom portion end at a distance from one sidewall of said guide channel and when the tape is pulled forth in the guide channel with its trailing unslotted edge portions along said sidewall, the tape tab defined by the foremost slot and extending against the pulling direction is moved to a position at the side of said second bottom portion and is displaced downwards below said bottom portion, so that the corresponding unslotted edge portion is torn off and the opposite unslotted edge portion thereafter is ruptured.

摘要: A hand labeller having a plurality of rotatable print wheels with selectable print types disposed on the periphery of each print wheel and a selector spindle for positioning selected print types at a printing zone of the print wheels. The selector spindle includes a reduced diameter portion which engages and slides in an arcuate slot in the labeller housing if (a) the spindle is fully pushed into the print wheels and (b) the labeller is operated to rotate the print zone of the print wheels to a label printing position. If the spindle is not fully pushed in, a large diameter portion of the spindle will engage the arcuate slot, the latter portion being too large to enter the slot whereby the print zone of the print wheels is inhibited from rotation to the label printing position.

摘要: A label strip with easily removable self-adhesive labels adhering in series to one side of a carrier strip for use in label printing and dispensing apparatuses which are equipped with a pull-off device gradually feeding the labels, the improvement wherein the carrier strip is continuous with respect to the length and width thereof, the carrier strip covering at least the greater part of the self-adhesive layer on the labels and a continuous backing strip disposed adjacent the side of the carrier strip opposite the one side thereof in a plane separate from and parallel to the carrier strip, the backing strip being bonded with the combination of the carrier strip and the self-adhesive labels.
