Embodiments of the present invention provide double deep, single width ovens for use in aircraft galleys. The ovens are particularly beneficial as they do not change current catering process or equipment, leading to their ease of acceptability and use in the airline galley design and development industry. The ovens may be used with two standard 32-meal carriers, such that the carriers are positioned front to back in the oven. Alternatively, 64-meal carriers may be developed that fit into the double deep oven as well.

The demand regulator has a duct communicating a pressurized breathing gas admission with a tube connected to the inside of a breathing mask. Dilution air may be added to the breathing gas. A breathe-out valve opens from the tube to atmosphere. A manual control member has a normal position causing operation without an over pressure above atmosphere and with dilution and an emergency position causing the tube to be fed with pure breathing gas (typically oxygen) at high pressure. Operation with over pressure gas feed is prevented mechanically or pneumatically so long as the mask is being stored.

An extensible harness, having end portions connected to said mask, includes an inflatable element. A manually actuatable valve delivers pressurized respiratory gas from the source to the inflatable element to extend the harness when actuated and reduces the pressure in said inflatable element to retract said harness and to cause the mask to engage the face of the wearer when released. The fast donning breathing apparatus for use by a crew member comprises a mask provided with a regulator for connection to a source of pressurized breathable gas and a harness having. The harness has a stretchable strap having ends connected to the mask and including an element which is optionably inflatable by the pressurized breathable gas to extend the strap up to a size which is sufficient to permit fitting of the harness on the head and deflatable to enable the strap to tighten, to bias the mask onto the face and to hold the mask in position. The harness also has a flexible hardly extensible additional strap. A fastener enables to adjust the length of the additional strap and permits direct manual tightening by a user.
