Abstract:
Systems, methods, and apparatuses monitor mammal conditions, report condition changes, and provide neurocode-based treatment in response to condition changes. A mammal implantable controller includes modules to monitor, wirelessly communicate to external computers, and administer treatment received from a remote computer based on monitoring of changes in mammal condition as analyzed by the remote computer. External computers can be provided in the form of a mobile device (e.g., smartphone/tablet), resident treatment pods, and treatment servers. Treatment can be provided to change biological function or trigger cell death in cancer cells.
Abstract:
A system supports communications of video and data to hand held devices located within a public venue (e.g., sports stadium). A pod includes at least one of a synchronized server and wireless communications electronics. The pod includes an antennae integrated therein. The pod can be deployed as a communications node within the public venue and provides data including video through a data network from at least one server to hand held wireless devices located in the public venue. The pod can include a rechargeable power source sustaining self-contained operation of the wireless communication electronics. An optional solar cell can provide electrical power to charge the rechargeable power source. A pod can be embedded in the wall or floor surface of said public venue and can be provided in the form of a core hole plug.
Abstract:
A breath alcohol ignition interlock device includes a mock beverage housing including at least one of breath alcohol electronics and a hand held breath alcohol analyzer therein, a mouthpiece in fluid communication with an alcohol sensor associated with the at least one of breath alcohol electronics and a hand held breath alcohol analyzer and a vent exhausting breath from the mock beverage housing. The mock beverage container housing can be disguised as a coffee cup, a fountain drink cup, a soda can, and a soft drink bottle. The mouthpiece can be disguised as a coffee cup lid, a fountain drink cup straw, a soda can opening, and a soft drink bottle top. A wireless communication module can support data synchronization and communications between the device and a base station installed within a motor vehicle.
Abstract:
An email client includes a user interface that provides a STORE field in addition to TO, CC, BCC, SUBJECT, SENDER, and message body fields. The STORE field can be used to select a storage location for the email message and any attachments that is besides or in addition to the SEND file location associated with the email client. Email messages can be automatically stored once a user sends a message. The email message can also be converted into another format prior to storage after the message is sent by a user to email recipients.
Abstract:
An electronic wireless hand held multimedia device includes a microprocessor and more than one wireless transceiver modules enabling wireless communications over a variety of standards, including Cellular (e.g., GSM, CDMA, GPRS, 3G), 802.11 (e.g., WLAN), and short range (e.g., Bluetooth, infrared, RFID), for the retrieval, processing and delivery of multimedia data to/from remote data resources (e.g., Internet, servers). The hand held device can include any of: a touch sensitive display screen configured to display multimedia data including video, text and GPS maps, and accept user input; a cartridge reader configured to exchange data with an electronic cartridge; a GPS module configured to operate with mapping resources and provide location information and GPS mapping; a mobile payment module enabling mobile payments via a variety of billing arrangements; a security module enabling protected data management and communications security; a video camera enabling the capture, storage, processing and transmission of video and pictures.
Abstract:
A system, device, and method for plugging core holes. A core hole plug includes a top compression plate, a bottom compression plate, and a rubber expansion ring that separates the top and bottom compression plates. A beveled screw hole can be created on the top compression plate. The beveled screw hole matches the angle of bottom surface of the head of a flat head bolt to ensure that the bolt remains flush with the top compression plate. The rubber expansion ring can be squeezed between the top and bottom compression plates as the flat head bolt is screwed into a threaded receiver nut formed on the bottom compression plate. An installation tool can be utilized to install the core hole plug so that the top compression plate remains flush with an existing floor surface.
Abstract:
A knee pad system includes a knee pad attached to a base that includes integrated roller balls on its exterior surface. The roller balls can roll within the base and facilitate movement of the knee pad over a flat surface when worn by a user. The improved knee pad system can include a locking mechanism selectively preventing the roller balls from moving within said base. The knee pad of the improved knee pad system can be selectively detached from and reattached to the base.
Abstract:
A portable pointing apparatus utilized with a computing device such as a personal computer, laptop computer, and/or an Internet connected television. The pointing apparatus generally comprises a spin ball, a right click button, a left click button, and a hold button for performing various cursor movements and cursor operations on a display of the computing device. The hold button can be utilized to highlight data displayed on the computing device. The apparatus also includes a laser pointer for pointing out important data on the display. A tracking device generates a movement signal based on a movement of the pointing apparatus. The computing device receives a movement signal from a tracking system and controls the movement of a cursor displayed via the computing device. The pointing apparatus can be operated from any convenient location and can be of any shape or form for user comfort.
Abstract:
A seatbelt safety apparatus and method for controlling ignition with respect to an automotive vehicle. The apparatus generally includes a seatbelt associated with a seatbelt sensor and an ignition interlock clip circuit. The seatbelt sensor that senses heat can be located on a front portion of the seatbelt to ensure that the seatbelt is strapped in an operative position with respect to an occupant in the vehicle and is worn properly. The ignition interlock clip circuit associated with a seatbelt clip controls the ignition with respect to the vehicle. An electrical connection can be made when a fastening member associated with the seatbelt is connected with the clip circuit in order to ignite the vehicle. The ignition will not start unless the seatbelt is fastened with the seatbelt clips by the occupant in the automobile.
Abstract:
A method and system for the authentication of a user at a point of entry. Biometric data can be provided after preliminary identification of the user based on identification information wirelessly provided from a portable electronic device carried with the user when the user is located near a point of entry, such as, for example, a border crossing or access point to a secure facility. Such a method and system can incorporate RFD tags, cellular wireless communications data and links, and/or Bluetooth communications link, etc.
