    摘要: A failsafe, foolproof control valve for a tractor-trailer air brake system which, among its other features, permits the tractor brakes to remain in a parked position while the trailer system is being pressurized. The control valve includes four ports, two of which communicate with a first valve chamber and the other two communicate with a second valve chamber. A spring biased first plunger is disposed within the first chamber and a manually operable second plunger extends within the second chamber. Movement of the second plunger establishes several operating modes of the valve to provide various fluid flow paths between the ports in a predetermined manner. At least one of these modes automatically repositions the second plunger to its normal operating mode after the trailer system has been optionally pressurized by actuation of a conventional park valve.

The pistons move as a unit to afford equal output and input movement in the absence of any pressure and are so arranged that at runout when the maximum pressure from the source has been used, the pistons remain separated but move as a unit to afford equal output and input movement.

The check valve is operable to automatically charge the accumulator when the booster fluid source is called upon to supply fluid at operating pressure to the booster or other devices. The dump valve includes a stepped piston arrangement biased into a closed position by backpressure from the fluid source and operable by accumulator pressure to automatically dump the accumulated charge to the booster when source backpressure drops below a predetermined value.

    摘要: Disclosed is apparatus for separating a dispersed liquid from a dispersion of two immiscible liquids wherein a shell is constructed with a bulkhead wall on which pairs of coalescing units are cantilever supported from opposite sides and in end-toend communicating relationship through an opening of the wall in alignment with respective aligned center cavities of each pair of units. The units comprise removable liquid permeable coalescing media in cylindrical form which are removable from tubular supports of the units fixed to the wall. The units are closed at the distal ends to cause liquid to flow radially into one unit, then through the wall, and radially out of the associated unit. The shell is built in sections to separate in planes adjacent to the distal ends of the units so that the shell may be opened and the coalescing media easily and quickly replaced.
