Abstract:
This application uses technology found in existing patents U.S. Pat. No. 7,823,394 and U.S. Pat. No. 7,621,148B1. The application solves the problem of internal icing within bio-sample storage freezers by introducing three new techniques to traditional mechanical freezers. Highly effective hybrid insulation technique, Internal purging using water vapor free air and Close tolerance fitment of internal sub-assemblies.
Abstract:
A cryogenic system to remove energy includes a heat engine to store content at a predetermined temperature; one or more fans to deliver air flow through the heat engine; a cryogenic storage unit to store cryogen and having one or more insulated pipes thermally coupled to the heat engine to cool the heat engine; one or more reuse pipes coupled to one or more insulated pipes to send a portion of cryogen gas flow back to the cryogenic storage for reuse; a controller to maintain the predetermined temperature; and an on-board power generator to supply operating power to the controller and the one or more fans.
Abstract:
A shipping vessel includes a cryogenic tank secured to the shipping foundation; a payload bay to receive products therein; a tube connected to the cryogenic tank and thermally coupled to the payload bay; a housing secured to the shipping foundation, said housing covering the tube and the payload bay to thermally seal the payload bay from outside environment; a controller mounted on the housing and having a sensor to determine temperature in a closed-loop and maintaining a set point within a predetermined range; and an energy storage device coupled to the controller and electronics to provide power for a predetermined shipping period.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for transporting products with an airplane by controlling temperature in a payload bay using cryogenic coolant and a heat exchanger to cool the payload bay and heat from a heater; recycling exhaust from the heat exchanger to power a Stirling engine; charging a storage device with power from the Stirling engine; housing the payload bay as part of a modular, stackable module in an aircraft bay for transportation; and venting exhaust gas to an exterior of the airplane.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed that expand environmental support for an HVAC system with an HVAC fluid circulating throughout by vaporizing a cryogen; and sparging the vaporized cryogen to dispense sparge bubbles to the HVAC fluid to cool the HVAC fluid.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed to provide a cryogenic processor apparatus with an outer housing; an inner housing coupled to the external housing to define a vacuum region there between; and material disposed in the vacuum region to provide redundant insulation and structural support at a cryogenic temperature.
Abstract:
An alcohol-based solvent chiller includes an insulated vessel; a spiral-shaped heat exchanger designed specifically to chill alcohol-based solvents that become viscous at low temperatures within the insulated vessel; a cryogenic tank with pressure building capability that will force coolant through the heat exchanger at a specific pressure; and a cryogenic pump to circulate viscous cryogenic temperature liquids within the insulated vessel.
Abstract:
A device includes a plurality of evaporators coupled to a payload bay with a multiplicity of coolant tubes in each evaporator, wherein each tube enters and then exits the payload bay, further comprising one or more cryogenic valves coupled to the coolant tubes; a pump to force coolant flowing through the evaporators; and a thermal box immediately outside the evaporators and payload bay to thermally seal the payload bay from the outside environment and reduce heat gain, the thermal box including high strength open cell panels and a vacuum or Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs) with polyurethane foam to fill the voids.
