    摘要: The invention relates to a casting wheel of a strip casting machine. The casting wheel comprises a casting ring (30) mounted and borne internally on freely rotatable rollers (31a, b, 33a, b). In the zone of the position at the start of casting, the rollers (31a, b) are rigidly mounted via a supporting element (32), while on the opposite side they are radially adjustable via a-supporting element (34a, b). In this way deformations of the casting ring (30) due to heating during casting can be absorbed without a change in the position of the casting ring (30) as at the start of casting. The casting ring (30) is driven from outside via at least one driving element (30b) which is connected via a transmission member (30a) to the casting ring (30).

    摘要: A process of treating metal strips using a linear electric motor with spaced apart motor elements comprises directing the metal strips into the space between the motor elements and operating the motor to produce a travelling wave and advancing the strip between the motor parts without contact thereof at a velocity greatly reduced with respect to the velocity of the linear electric motor wave so as to produce a slippage between the wave and the strip and to effect the heating of the strip as it is advanced. The apparatus includes a linear electric motor including a first motor unit spaced away from a second motor unit in the form of a linear motor or return bar so as to form a gap therebetween through which the metal strip is advanced. The apparatus includes means for feeding the strip through straightening rolls and cropping shears, S-rollers and coiling and uncoiling reels.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for levelling continuously moving metal strips exclusively by tensile rolling levelling. The strip to be levelled is subjected to two successive tensile rolling operations in the direction in which it moves. In the first tensile rolling operation the tensile rolling levelling is performed with relatively low tensile stressing and considerable rolling deformation, while over the second tensile rolling distance the strip is subjected to only slight bending with substantially higher tensile stressing. The result of these successive different kinds of stretching-and-rolling levelling is a flat strip which maintains its flatness even after a prolonged storage period.
