摘要: A rotary kiln includes: a cylindrical shell that includes a supply-side end portion and a discharge-side end portion at both ends in an axial direction of the shell, and a heat treatment chamber which is defined inside the shell and in which a heat treatment is performed on a process material; a supply-side holder that holds the supply-side end portion; a discharge-side holder that holds the discharge-side end portion; a supply-side rotary shaft that allows rotation of the supply-side holder; and a discharge-side rotary shaft that allows rotation of the discharge-side holder. The shell is rotated about its own axis by rotating at least one of the supply-side rotary shaft and the discharge-side rotary shaft.

In the rotary kiln, a heat treatment is performed on a process material in the heat treatment chamber to manufacture a battery material. The shell is made of a carbon material. Since the shell is made of a carbon material, the rotary kiln can suppress contamination of metal scale, which adversely affects the battery material, into the battery material.

摘要: Provided is a regeneration rotary kiln capable of reducing the proportion of combustible gas in waste gas and capable of reducing cost for generating superheated steam.A regeneration rotary kiln (1) is characterized by including: a superheated steam generation unit (2) that generates superheated steam; a tube (3) capable of rotating about its axis and having a heating section (A) where, while the superheated steam is being supplied thereto, carbon fiber reinforced plastic (10) containing a matrix resin and carbon fibers is heated to generate combustible gas (10G) from the matrix resin to extract the carbon fibers (10S) from the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (10); a first combustion chamber (43a) that is placed outside the tube (3) and that burns the gas (10G) introduced from the heating section (A) to heat the heating section (A); and a second combustion chamber (43b) that burns the gas (10G) introduced from the first combustion chamber (43a) to supply heat for generating the superheated steam.

摘要: A process and an apparatus for producing a composite material utilize a rotatable hollow body that is inclined with an upstream side being higher than a downstream side. A reaction zone is defined within an elongated chamber in the hollow body. Protrusions inwardly extend from an inner peripheral wall of the hollow body adjacent to the reaction zone. Base material is input into the chamber via a base material introduction port and a carbon source vapor is input into the chamber via a carbon source supply port. A heater heats the reaction zone to a temperature at which carbon nanotubes form on the base material from the carbon source vapor. The protrusions catch base material disposed on the inner peripheral wall of the hollow body when the hollow body rotates and then drop the base material through the reaction zone so that the base material contacts the carbon source vapor.

摘要: A foamed ceramic panel having a base layer comprising foamed inorganic raw materials and a fine glass layer comprising fused and solidified ceramic paper and formed on at least one surface of the base layer. A layer of heat-foamable inorganic raw materials and the ceramic paper laminated on the surface of the layer of heat-foamable inorganic raw materials are simultaneously burned and fused together. In producing the panel, the glossiness of the surface of the panel is improved by quenching the foamed panel and re-heating the same to a softening temperature. The panels are applicable to interior or exterior materials for various kinds of buildings, art ceramic panels for decoration, and the like.
