摘要： A method and device for forming dough in a U or annular shape includes a gripper carrier, at least one retaining jaw attached to the gripper carrier and first and second pivot carriers. The pivot carriers are each supported about a respective pivot axis in the gripper carrier and perform an opposite pivot motion. The second pivot carrier is supported by a shaft that extends into and engages the gripper carrier, such that a pivotal motion of the second pivot carrier engages the shaft with the gripper carrier to simultaneously pivot and lift the second pivot carrier so to lift one end of the dough piece in relation to another end of the dough piece. Shaping jaws are attached to the first and second pivot carriers and can be brought into contact with the respective dough piece on an opposite second side.

摘要： A dough lapper is provided which includes four conveyers, each having a separate conveyer belt. The conveyers include an infeed conveyer which feeds a second conveyer which in turn feeds a third conveyer with the first, second and third conveyers being in superposed relation and in longitudinal alignment. The fourth conveyer is positioned generally normal to the first three conveyers and is positioned below the third conveyer for receiving dough therefrom in a lapped condition. The third conveyer reciprocates back and fourth over the fourth conveyer lapping the dough onto the fourth conveyer. The first three conveyers have separate conveyer belts and are operated by drive means in association with one another to provide gentle handling of the dough and independent but coordinated operation of the three conveyers.

摘要： A tortilla is placed on a flexible belt which carries a pivotable plunger adapted to move from an upright position above the belt down to a lower position in which the plunger clamps the tortilla on the belt. The belt is moved to a centering station where a resilient obstruction engages the forward edge of the tortilla and moves it relative to the plunger when the belt, tortilla and plunger are momentarily lifted by a plate sweeping under the belt so the tortilla is centered under the plunger when the plunger is in the lower position. As the belt is further advanced, it wraps the tortilla around the plunger into the folded shape of a taco shell, which is then fried crisp in the folded position. Thereafter, the belt is unwrapped from around the taco shell and plunger, and the shell is removed from the plunger.
