摘要: A heavily foaming coffee fraction characterized by the following bands in the FT-IR spectrum: 3400 cm−1, 2900 cm−1, 1655 cm −1, 1524 cm−1 1000-1150 cm−1, 894 cm−1 and 876 cm−1 and a production process for the coffee fraction (1) defatting with an organic solvent and extracting with hot water, (2) filtrating the extract, (3) adding a precipitation agent to the extract and centrifugation of the obtained precipitate, (4) dissolving the precipitate in water or an aqueous alcohol, (5) dialysing the solution against water, (6) filtrating the non-dialysable solution and (7) freeze-drying the filtrate.

摘要: A filter for fluids includes a pair of layers or multiple layers or pairs of material joined together to form a laminate having a fluid contacting surface. A plurality of spaced pockets is formed between the layers of material in the contacting surface. The layers of material are fluid permeable at the pockets whereby fluid may flow through the laminate at the pockets. The fluid contacting surface is fluid impermeable except for the pockets to require the fluid passing through the laminate to be confined to flowing through the pockets. Filter members are in the pockets for removing any contaminants from the fluid.

摘要: A process for reducing the acidity of a coffee extract is described in which the coffee extract undergoes electrodialysis. The non-cathodic extract is collected, contacted with subdivided chitosan and, after removal of the chitosan, is mixed with at least a part of cathodic extract to provide a deacidified coffee extract.

摘要: A process is disclosed wherein the decaffeination of aqueous extracts of vegetable material with non-ionic, hydrophobic resin may be performed in a continuous manner. In accordance therewith, extract is contacted with resin to effect decaffeination, exhausted resin containing adherent caffeine and non-caffeine water solubles is bleached with water to remove the caffeine, the caffeine-free resin is then washed with a solution comprising water and an organic solvent to elute non-caffeine water solubles and then the resin is rinsed with water to permit its reuse in the further decaffeination of vegetable material extracts.

The concentrated coffee extract solution contains the following components (A) and (B): (A) at least one pyrazine selected from 2-methylpyrazine, 2,5-dimethylpyrazine, 2,6-dimethylpyrazine, ethylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-5-methylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-6-methylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-3-methylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazine and 3,5-dimethyl-2-methylpyrazine, and (B) at least one guaiacol selected from guaiacol, 4-ethylguaiacol and 4-vinylguaiacol.
