A pump mechanism for vacuum sealing an airtight cavity formed by a container and a lid, including a bore having a first one-way seal allowing air from the airtight cavity to enter the bore and blocking air inside the bore from returning to the airtight cavity and a second one-way seal allowing air inside the bore to leave the bore without returning to the airtight cavity and blocking air outside of the bore from entering the bore, a piston disposed inside the bore, and a chamber of air enclosed by the bore, the first and second one-way seals, and the piston, wherein actuation of the piston in a first direction causes air to evacuate the airtight cavity and enter the chamber through the first one-way seal, and wherein actuation of the piston in a second direction causes air to exit the chamber through the second one-way seal.

An air contact reducer for food storage is described herein. The air contact reducer may be a single piece of plastic. The air contact reducer may be round or rectangular to match the shape of a food container. The air contact reducer may include a knob or handle to help move the air contact reducer up or down (or back and forth in some cases) to reduce the air contact with food while the food is being stored.

A storage container includes a container body, a lid, and a dividing member. The container body defines an accommodating space that has a top opening. The lid is removably disposed on the container body, and has two covering sections that cooperatively cover the opening. Each one of the covering sections is independently operable to uncover a part of the opening. A lid of the container is configured to attach to and close off the open top. A tray of the container has a perforate panel and a tray foot. The tray can fit within the storage space with the tray foot resting on the bottom of the base and the perforate panel elevated above the bottom of the base. A connecting structure is carried in part on the lid, in part on the base, and in part on the tray and is configured so that the lid and the tray can be connected to one another and to the bottom under the base.

A sealing ring is an elastic annular member with an engaging groove for insertion of an insertion member. The engaging groove includes a sealing surface and an opposite abutting surface which is inclined from the bottom of the engaging groove toward the open end of the engaging groove, so that the open end of the engaging groove is narrower than the bottom of the engaging groove. When the insertion member is inserted in the engaging groove, the abutting surface and the sealing surface will transmit pressure to make the abutting surface of the abutting portion and the sealing surface of the sealing lip of the sealing ring are pressed against two sides of the inserted insertion member. Therefore, the sealing performance of the sealing ring is improved.
