摘要: Systems and methods are provided for supporting an arm of a user using a harness configured to be worn on a body of a user; and an arm support coupled to the harness configured to support an arm of the user, the arm support configured to accommodate movement of the arm while following the movement without substantially interfering with the movement of the user's arm. One or more compensation elements may be coupled to the arm support to apply an offset force to at least partially offset a gravitational force acting on the arm as the user moves and the arm support follows the movement of the user's arm, the one or more compensation elements providing a force profile that varies the offset force based on an orientation of the arm support.

摘要: Wrist, hand, or arm support devices are provided. The support devices include a support member having a top surface and a front surface. The top surface is oriented at either a parallel angle or a non-parallel angle with respect to a work surface. The front surface curves upon itself to form either a symmetric or an asymmetric arc. Preferred versions of the support devices described herein include at least one of a top surface oriented at a non-parallel angle with respect to the work surface or a front surface that curves upon itself to define an asymmetric arc. Mounting members for connecting the support member to an operating surface are also provided. The support devices described herein permit an operator to comfortably rest his or her hand on the support devices while directing procedures toward non-centered portions of work objects.

摘要: Local surgical cockpits comprising local surgical consoles that can communicate with any desired remote surgical module (surgical robot), for example via a shared Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or other unified open source communication protocol or other suitable communication system. The systems and methods, etc., herein can also comprise a modular approach wherein multiple surgical consoles can network supporting collaborative surgery regardless of the physical location of the surgeons relative to each other and/or relative to the surgical site. Thus, for example, an operator operating a local surgical cockpit can teleoperate using a remote surgical module on a patient in the same room as the surgeon, or surgeons located in multiple safe locations can telemanipulate remote multiple surgical robots on a patient in or close to a war zone.

摘要: A patient-side surgeon interface provides enhanced capabilities in using a minimally invasive, teleoperated surgical system. The patient-side surgeon interface has components within the sterile surgical field of the surgery. The components allow a surgeon to control teleoperated slave surgical instruments from within the sterile surgical field. The patient-side surgeon interface permits a surgeon to be in the sterile surgical field adjacent a patient undergoing surgery. Controlling minimally invasive slave surgical instruments from within the sterile surgical field permits minimally invasive surgery combined with direct visualization by the surgeon. The proximity to the patient allows the surgeon to control a teleoperated slave surgical instrument in tandem with controlling manually controlled instruments such as a laparoscopic instrument. Also, the surgeon, from within the sterile surgical field, can use the patient-side surgeon interface to control at least one proxy visual in proctoring another surgeon.

摘要: Disclosed are devices and methods suitable for application of a curable fluid composition to a bodily organ, such as to a lower portion of a bodily organ. The device comprises a monolithic piece of material having a lower surface, two spaced-apart sides, and two spaced-apart walls connecting the two spaced-apart sides. A receptacle for containing the curable fluid composition is defined by the lower surface, the two sides, and the two walls. At least a portion of the height of the two walls is less than the height of at least a portion of the two sides. The device is deployable underneath the bodily organ such that a lower portion of the bodily organ is supported by at least a portion of each of the two walls.
