摘要： The present invention relates to a direct contact racquet or “DCR.” In order to enhance the feel experienced by the player, the DCR is designed to maximize the contact between the player's hand and the ball, while still making use of a string-bed or other form of contact to provide a strike surface for the ball. In particular, a gripping surface for a player's hand is provided behind the string bed. The gripping surface may be shaped in various ways so that a player can comfortably grip it. In addition, the gripping surface may provide a clearance from the string bed when striking a ball. Therefore, the DCR places a user's hand directly behind the string bed surface used to strike the ball.

摘要： A batting swing training device is provided to train a batter in bat and ball sports to properly swing a bat. The device includes three weighted portions, one near the knob of the bat, one near the distal end of the bat, and one near the center of the bat. The weights near the knob and center of the bat force the batter to lead the swing with the knob. The weight near the distal end of the bat trains the batter to properly snap the bat through or release the bat at the time of contact. Each weighted portion may include cavities to accept the weights. The handle may have an oval-shaped cross-section to reinforce the proper grip and knuckle alignment and a plurality of finger grooves, which also reinforce the proper grip and knuckle alignment.

摘要： A recreational game for two or more participants is disclosed which employs an aerodynamically designed, multiwinged airfoil projectile, together with at least one hand-held shield. The shield has a front face with a generally flat projectile receiving surface, a rear generally convex face generally configured to be supported by the natural form of a user's generally relaxed hand, and shock-absorbing chamber-defining means between the two faces to effectively cushion the user's hand against impact of the projectile. The shield includes a strap spaced from the back face by a hand-accommodating distance whereby a participant's hand is removably retained in the space by the pressure exerted against the hand by the disk and strap.The projectile is thrown by one participant, and captured on the shield by a second participant via a suction device on the projectile.

摘要： Two paddle striking surfaces or panels are spaced an interval sufficient to receive a player's hand between the panels. The panels which define striking surfaces are similar in configuration one to another. Separable central posts secure the paddle panels in spaced relationship and afford a grip whereby the paddle striking surfaces may be grasped and manipulated by a player's hand. The surfaces mask the greater part, or all, of the palm and back of the hand. The striking panels may be integrally formed or may be selectively separable elements. preferably the attitude of the striking panels with respect to one another is such that they are substantially parallel when the paddle is in use on the player's hand. Various straps may be used on the paddles to afford a secondary link between the player's hand and the striking panels, such that the movement of the hand results in immediate like movement of the two panels without changing the panel relationship one to another, when used together.
