Abstract: Athletic performance monitoring and tracking may provide multiple ways in which to track athletic movement and activity. Workouts may also be tagged with various parameters including mood, weather, terrain, athletic equipment, friends used and the like. Workout information may be shared to social messaging and networking outlets. Workout information shared may include map information including images of maps, interactive maps, links to maps, route information and the like and/or combinations thereof. Additionally or alternatively, an application may be configured to execute within a context of a social networking system to facilitate athletic activity data transfer and generation of workout entries in the social networking site.

Abstract: Enables a fitting system for sporting equipment using an application that executes on a mobile phone for example to prompt and accept motion inputs from a given motion capture sensor to measure a user's size, range of motion, speed and then utilizes that same sensor to capture motion data from a piece of equipment, for example to further optimize the fit of, or suggest purchase of a particular piece of sporting equipment. Utilizes correlation or other data mining of motion data for size, range of motion, speed of other users to maximize the fit of a piece of equipment for the user based on other user's performance with particular equipment. For example, this enables a user of a similar size, range of motion and speed to data mine for the best performance equipment, e.g., longest drive, lowest putt scores, highest winning percentage, etc., associated with other users having similar characteristics.

Abstract: A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion, which requires receiving, by a CPU, sensor data from sensors worn by a user; storing the transmitted sensor data in a data buffer; recognizing that a motion gesture occurred based on a signature of acceleration data in the buffered sensor data, extracting from the data buffer sensor data from a predetermined time window around the moment when the motion gesture occurred; automatically generating a regime file customized for the user based on the extracted sensor data, and generating in real-time a user interface displaying a representation corresponding to the motion indicated by the sensor data, wherein the CPU determines the signature of acceleration data by matching the buffered sensor data with stored motion signatures, wherein the regime file is automatically generated based on diagnostic parameters obtained from the sensor data associated with a motion activity category.

The crank arm is manufactured of a material with non-uniform strain characteristics, the thin material layer is manufactured of a material with uniform strain characteristics, the crank arm is adapted to be deformed by a force, the thin material layer is adapted to be deformed correspondingly with the deformation of the crank arm, the at least one sensing element is adapted to measure the corresponding strain of the thin material layer to measure the force applied on the crank arm. A bicycle and a stationary exercise bicycle equipped with the crank apparatus are further provided.

Abstract: An intelligent fitness set and anti-cheating method thereof is disclosed. The intelligent fitness set includes a support, a base, a plurality of handheld fitness equipments and two handles, wherein a processor, a movement posture sensor and a touch sensor are provided in each handle, and the movement posture sensor and the touch sensor are connected respectively with the processor. One end of each handle is closed, while a bayonet is provided in the other end of the handle and the switchable hot-pluggable bayonet is configured to connect respectively to the plurality of handheld fitness equipments. In the present disclosure, one set of action training of a plurality of handheld fitness equipments is performed through the same set of handles, so that a user can complete movement of one time only by strictly complying with active standards during movement.

Abstract: An adhesively coupled power-meter measures one or more of force, torque, power, and velocity of a mechanical arm. The power meter includes a plate with a first surface prepared for adhesively coupling to the mechanical arm. At least one strain gauge is physically coupled with a second surface, opposite the first, of the plate and with an orientation corresponding to an orientation of the adhesively coupled power meter such that mechanical forces are transferred from mechanical arm to the at least one strain gauge when the plate is adhesively coupled to the mechanical arm. The power meter also includes electronics for receiving a signal from the at least one strain gauge and for determining one or more of force, torque, power and velocity from the signal, and a wireless transmitter for transmitting one or more of force, torque, power and velocity to a receiving device.
