摘要:
A ski binding tester for determining the force required to release a ski boot from a ski binding comprising at least one lever mounted for pivotal movement, a force applying member drivingly connected to the lever for applying a force to the ski boot, a flexible tension element connected to the lever for applying a force thereto, and a scale for providing an indication related to the force at which the binding releases.

A safety binding for skis incorporates a device for adjusting the binding employing an electrical circuit assembly for detecting the stress exerted during skiing, or values representative of this stress, enabling alteration of the adjustment of the binding dependent upon the result of the detection. The adjusting device is applicable to all types of safety bindings, abutments, heel members, bindings comprising plates or boots, and to all mechanical and/or electrical safety bindings.

A base plate is adapted to underlie a ski having a ski boot secured thereon by a conventional type of releasable binding having a toe clamp and a heel clamp. The base plate has a ski clamp to hold the ski in a fixed position. A horizontal slide on the base member is movable by a hand lever laterally toward and away from the ski. A vertical slide on the horizontal slide carries a horizontal plunger having a projecting end arranged to be pressed against one side of the sole of the ski boot adjacent the toe clamp by manipulation of the hand lever which operates the horizontal slide. The opposite end of the plunger deflects a diaphragm to displace hydraulic fluid into a maximum reading pressure gauge which is calibrated to indicate the force necessary to release the toe of the boot laterally from its toe clamp.

This invention is directed to a device for manually applying forward bending forces to ski bindings and thus determining the proper release settings thereof through the use of simulated foot inserted into a ski boot which in turn is secured by the ski binding. A lever arm extends upwardly from the simulated foot for connection with a calibrated torque wrench through which forward bending forces may be applied. The same device can be used to determine torsion release settings of the ski bindings simply by changing the position of the torque wrench.

Single and multiple plane contoured water ski corrective wedges secured or formed between the water ski bindings and water skis are provided to position a water skier's feet on water skis in closer to normal positions relative to their legs, knees, and hips to provide better control of the water skis and to comfortably position the water skier's feet to avoid improper stressing of their feet, knees, legs and back. Better overall water ski performances are accomplished as the water skier uses his or her forefoot more extensively than previously, when most control was derived from the using of only the rearfoot. Depending on the selections made by water skiers, they use single and/or multiple plane contoured receiving corrective wedges, under either one or both of their feet. These water ski corrective wedges are used with a slalom water ski, and with water skis to be used at the same time on the respective right and left foot of a water skier. The water ski corrective wedges are made separately, and/or preformed with the bindings, and/or with the water skis.
