The lifting air flow (16) is oriented for forming a vortex (17) confined in said suction chamber (13) and with rotation axis (Z) orthogonal to the screening surface (P) capable of lifting the sheet material and delivering it to suction means (18) associated with the hood (11).

    摘要: An open configuration is provided for the housing of a particulate material dedusting apparatus through which particulate material passes to be cleaned by air passing through wash decks to separate dirt and debris from the particulate material for discharge from the housing. The front wall and side access doors of the housing are configured to be openable for full access to the front and rear chambers. The primary wash deck is detachably mounted within the housing for removal for cleaning purposes. The generally horizontal floors of the housing are formed with a slope to allow water to drain from the housing. The open configuration of the deduster housing facilitates cleaning, draining and drying of the housing to expedite changeover from one material to another. Furthermore, the open configuration allows access for improved welding to eliminate cracks and openings in joints which accumulate dirt and debris during operation.

    摘要: Fine particles which electrostatically adhere to synthetic resin pellets are separated from the pellets by bringing the pellets/fine particles mixture into contact with an ionized gas. The ionized gas eliminates the electrostatic adhesion between the synthetic resin pellets and the fine particles. The resulting fine particles may thereafter be readily separated from the pellets and the freed fine particles may be withdrawn in a gas stream. Removal of the fine particles to less than 40 ppm is possible. Apparatus for carrying out the method is also described as is a system for stocking synthetic resin pellets using the described apparatus.

With the static electric charge neutralized,the dust can be separated by an air flow substantially transverse to the particle flow. The cleaning can be accomplished by pressurized air or a vacuum. The deduster can include means to collect the dust after it has been separated for the particulate material.

    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for separating a pellet-like product from fines mixed therewith. The apparatus includes a housing having a fines outlet and a product outlet disposed at a lower portion of the housing. An inlet conduit extends into the housing and terminates in a nozzle. The inlet conduit receives quantities of the product and fines entrained in a propellant fluid such as pressurized air. An imperforate baffle having an impact surface is disposed within the housing so that the impact surface faces the nozzle to intercept the product issuing from the nozzle. Apparatus is provided for generating an electric charge neutralizing magnetic field to envelop the entrained product and fines before the product impinges upon the impact surface of the baffle.
