    摘要: A dedusting apparatus removes dust and debris from particulate material flowing over the surface of a wash deck formed with steps and incorporating an air knife engaging the flow of particulate material as the material drops from one wash deck level to another. An ionizing wire is placed at each step on the wash deck so that the air knife blows negative ions from the ionizing wire into the particulate material falling off the step onto the level of wash deck below the ionizing wire. The wash deck is formed with openings to allow air to blow through the wash deck surface and remove dust and debris from the flow of particulate material. The wash deck can be constructed from modules supported on one another in a manner to present an overhang at each step. The wash deck can be formed from a flat pattern as a unitary bent structure.

The collecting unit includes a peripheral system with a fluidized bed extending about the rotor axis, at least underneath the vanes and the gap between the vanes and the rotor.

    摘要: A machine for sorting recyclable matter includes a trommel for conducting and screening an input flow of recyclable matter and a magnetic mechanism coupled to the trommel for extracting magnetic material from the input flow while the trommel rotates. The input flow is dropped vertically from the trommel into a positive-pressure air separator which separates the flow into a first material stream including lightweight articles and a second material stream including relatively heavy articles. The heavy articles of the second material stream drop downwardly in the air separator. Padded baffles are provided in the air separator for reducing the downward velocity of the second material stream, which substantially lowers breakage of glass articles.

    摘要: An apparatus and process for separating silicon seed particles from silicon dust and large, heavy silicon particles. A classifier apparatus is a vertically oriented column having an inert gas flowing upwardly therethrough. A mixture of various size particles is dispensed into the central portion of the tube such that small dust particles and product size particles are entrained in the flowing gas and heavier particles fall to a receiver at the bottom of the tube. The small dust particles are separated from the product size particles near the top of the tube by providing an enlarged cross-sectional area flow path which continues to entrain the small particles but not the product size particles. The product size particles are then captured in a receptacle near the top of the tube.
