    摘要: A method of cleaning a nitric acid absorption column is provided comprising: (a) cleaning its absorption column coil having an access port and an exit port by inserting a pig in the access port; maintaining pressure against the pig sufficient to force the pig through the coil; and capturing the pig after it passes through the exit port, and (b) cleaning the cooling fluid supply manifold headers and header hoses and the cooling fluid return manifold headers and header hoses by operatively connecting a valve means to a high pressure water or similar fluid supply to control the amount of high pressure water or similar fluid flowing through the valve means and into a flexible hose which has been operatively connected to the valve means to receive the high pressure water, operatively attaching a hollow tube having a nozzle provided with reverse direction orifices to the opposite end of the flexible hose to receive the high pressure water from the flexible hose and to allow the high pressure water to exit from the reverse direction orifices, inserting the nozzle into the header or header hose until it emerges into the manifold cavity, opening the valve means to allow high pressure water to flow out said reverse direction orifices, and pulling the nozzle out of the header or header hose.

    摘要: The two sealing lips of a pig, which is driven by a pushing medium for delivering a coating material for the mass-production coating of workpieces, have a self-sharpening sealing edge contacting the inner wall of the piggable line. Flat outer surface parts of the sealing lip formed ahead of and behind the sealing edge are angled against the inner wall of the line for an unloaded pig, while the inner surface part in the axial direction is pressed flat against the line under loading by the pushing medium. The production of the pig is realized through turning and subsequent shaping of the sealing lips in a transport sleeve in which the pig is kept and brought to its insertion location.

    摘要: There is disclosed a method and a device to allow a “rigid” pig to pass into an undersea flow pipe in which a hollow flow-constricting device is in use. According to the invention the device is provided with a first pipe branch and a second pipe branch.     摘要: A separator for use in a pipe for separating different fluids within different axial sections of the pipe while enabling the different fluids to be simultaneously moved through the pipe. The separator includes a pair of substantially spherical hollow elastic bodies which are fixedly connected together by intermediate resiliently flexible wall means for permitting the bodies to deflect or bend relative to one another when passing through a curved pipe section. The spherical bodies each have an opening for providing communication between the pipe and the interior of the body whereby the fluid within the pipe deforms the elastic bodies into slideable sealing engagement with the internal wall of the pipe.
