    摘要: A system and method for dispensing abrasive particulate material into a stream of air or gas for introduction into a pipe for the purpose of cleaning the pipe and preparing the inner surface for coating or lining. The system comprises an air blower coupled to the pipe, and generates the stream of air or gas, and a three component feed assembly for dispensing the abrasive particulate material. The feed assembly operates at atmospheric pressure and is in fluid communication with each of the pipe and the air blower, and is used to meter the abrasive particulate material into the stream of gas for introduction into the pipe. The system further comprises a shut-off valve that is in fluid communication with the feed assembly, the air blower and the pipe and is cycled to isolate the feed assembly from the air blower during pipe drying and maintenance operations.

    摘要: Methods for abrasive cleaning, deburring pipes, providing barrier coatings and sealing leaks in existing pipes, in a single operation. Pipes can be cleaned in one pass set up by intermittent bursts of dry particulates that are forced and pulled by air throughout the piping system by a generator and a vacuum. Pipes can be protected from the effects of water corrosion, erosion corrosion and electrolysis, extending the life of piping systems such as copper, steel, lead, brass, cast iron piping and composite materials. Cleaning includes, intermittently injecting bursts of abrasive particles into pressurized gas into the pipes to clean pipe interior walls, reduce burrs and interior lips in pipe interior walls, while generating a vacuum suction in the pipes to remove abrasive particles and debris.

    摘要: A method of deburring channel inlet edges inside a cavity of a gas diffuser case is disclosed. The diffuser case has a plurality of channels each having an inner surface and an inlet edge defining an inlet of the channel. The surfaces of adjacent channels co-operate to provide said inlet edge therebetween. The inlet edges of the channels are provided in an inwardly facing circular array around a central axis of the gas diffuser case. The method comprises: inserting a tool head having at least one nozzle in the cavity of the gas diffuser case; and then ejecting abrasive particles from at least one nozzle towards at least one of the channel inlet edges of the gas diffuser case to at least one of decrease a radius of at least one said edge and improve a smoothness of at least one said surface.

    摘要: A pipeline cleaning and renovating method of the present invention comprises introduction of abrasive particulates by pressurized air through the pipelines to remove the incrustation adhering to the inner surface of the pipelines. Water or other liquids are introduced into the pipelines to generate or increase a moisture content in a flow of the pressurized air. The air flow through the pipelines is controlled to induce a substantially helical flow pattern such that a substantial amount of abrasive particulates are driven by the air flow to move along the inner surface of the pipeline in order to efficiently remove the incrustation. After the pipelines are cleaned, a coating material is added into the pipelines and driven by the air flow in the substantially helical flow pattern to provide an even coating film on the cleaned inner surface of the pipelines. This method can be broadly applied to various types of pipelines and various diameters of the pipelines from 13 mm to 300 mm. The length of the pipeline being cleaned at one time can be from several hundred meters to more than one kilometer, depending on the type of pipeline.
