    摘要: The invention relates to a bending and balancing device for axially shiftable work rolls (10, 10′) of a rolling mill, especially of a four-high rolling mill, guide blocks (2) being provided at both sides in the window of every mill housing (1) on the level of the work roll inserts (3, 3′) and the force of bending and balancing cylinders (5) being transmissible onto the work roll inserts that are guided in the axial direction and so as to be shiftable in the vertical direction. The guide blocks are subdivided into respective upper and lower guide blocks (2, 2′), the upper guide blocks (2) are mounted in the mill housing window so as to be vertically shiftable, the lower guide blocks (2′) are mounted in the mill housing window so as to be fixed or so as to be vertically shiftable, and a bending and balancing cylinder (5) is arranged in every of the associated upper and lower guide blocks and is guided by the same and engages with the upper and the lower work roll insert.

    摘要: A rolling mill comprising at least two work rolls supported by chocks (4, 40) mounted so as to slide, with clearance, between two fixed guide faces (13a, 13b). Each chock (4, 40) is thrust laterally against the guide faces (13a, 13b) in order to take up the clearance when in service. Each chock (4, 40) is surrounded by two intermediate pieces (6a, 6b) mounted so as to slide without clearance along the corresponding guide faces (13a, 13b). These intermediate pieces are rigidly locked vertically with the chock (4) so as to move with it. Lateral thrustors (7) are interposed between at least one side of each chock (4) and the facing intermediate piece (6b) in order to push the chock back against the other intermediate piece (6a) and corresponding guide face (13a). The two guide faces (13a, 13'a) against which the two chocks (4, 4') of a roll (2) are pressed define a reference plane (P1) for the positioning of the axis of the roll (2) with the possibility of sliding parallel to that plane (P1).

    摘要: The bending and balancing mechanism for axially shiftable rolls of a roll stand, especially the working rolls of a four-high roll stand, comprises a guiding block rigidly mounted in a stand window of each roll stand and roll supporting members supported horizontally slidable adjacent both ends of the rolls on an upper and/or lower lifting housing guided vertically on the guiding block. The roll bending forces are transmittable from bending cylinders to the roll supporting members and at least one bending cylinder, advantageously hydraulic cylinder, engages on the upper and lower lifting housing, this bending cylinder being supported on a stationary guiding block. Because of this latter structure the bending and balancing forces are better transmitted to the working or other rolls.
