摘要： A weir assembly suitable for use in conjunction with a rotary table is described for use in producing flakes of solid material from solutions or from molten metal baths. In particular the novel weir assembly of the instant invention is described with reference to the preparation of sodium-lead alloys. The assembly of the invention includes a tank, baffled to provide for the smoothing out of waves which might form during the filling of the tank with molten alloy. The weir plate is provided with a notched top portion to provide a uniform sheet of molten material flowing down the face thereof. The molten metal is contacted with the cooling table surface off the surface of a spreading means positioned at the bottom of the plate.

摘要： An apparatus and process for casting of metal, such as copper anodes. The apparatus includes an oven for melting the metal and a rotatable casting wheel which carries a series of molds. A tiltable ladle pours the molten metal into a mold, and sensing means inside the mold produces a signal in response to the level of the molten metal in the mold for ending the pouring operation from the ladle. When the pouring operation for a particular mold has terminated, the casting wheel is automatically rotated to bring the next mold into proper position for receiving the molten metal.

摘要： In a method for the production of semi-finished copper products, first copper is melted and cast to produce copper anodes, in one casting procedure, within multiple ingot molds, subsequently copper cathodes are formed by electrolysis, using at least one of the copper anodes, and then these copper cathodes are processed further to produce semi-finished copper products. A long-term coating is applied to at least one of the ingot molds as a wash, a sulfur-free wash is applied to the ingot mold and/or part of the work pieces cast in the ingot molds is directly processed further to produce semi-finished copper products. A method and an apparatus applies a wash to an ingot mold and a system produces semi-finished copper products.
