    摘要: A differential device including a planetary gear mechanism having a sub-gear, an annular gear and a planetary gear is more compact than a differential gear using a bevel gear mechanism. Since revolution torque of the planetary gear is transmitted to a free gear, and torque from the main gear is reduced to be transmitted, the differential device can use a small-sized drive unit in comparison with a conventional one. Hence, a machining apparatus including such a differential device is also compact. If the machining apparatus has three drive units, a pair of ring gears, first and second power transmission shafts, a radial movement mechanism and an axial movement mechanism, a tool holder, namely, a tool coupled to the radial movement mechanism and the axial movement mechanism, can be freely moved in axial and radial directions with respect to the pipe.

    摘要: Pipe machining apparatuses and methods of operating are provided. In one aspect, a pipe machining apparatus includes an advancement mechanism coupled to a frame and adapted to move relative to the frame between a first position, in which the advancement mechanism is in a travel path of an advancement member and is adapted to be engaged by the advancement member to advance a tool, and a second position, in which the advancement mechanism is positioned out of the travel path of the advancement member and is not adapted to be engaged by the advancement member. In another aspect, a pipe machining apparatus includes multiple motors and pinion gears engaged with a gear rack of a tool carrier. In a further aspect, a pipe machining apparatus includes a race wiper. In yet another aspect, a pipe machining apparatus includes a race lubrication member.

    摘要: A pipe machining apparatus includes a frame, a tool support, an advancement device, and an advancement member. The tool support is coupled to and movable relative to the frame. The tool support is adapted to support a tool and move the tool in a direction toward a pipe at an increment. The advancement device includes an advancement projection fixedly attached to the frame. The advancement projection includes a contact-surface. The advancement member is coupled to the tool support. Upon the advancement member contacting the contact-surface of the advancement projection the advancement member is adapted to advance the tool towards the pipe at the increment. The contact-surface of the advancement projection is shaped to always be in a non-perpendicular contact position with the advancement member.

The coupling member also includes a plunger at least partially positioned within the cavity and moveable relative to the engagement member, and further includes a biasing member at least partially positioned within the cavity between the plunger and the engagement member.

The second roller bearing includes a second shaft and a second roller rotatably coupled to the second shaft. The second roller is at least partially positioned in the race and is rotatable about a second roller bearing axis. The first and second roller bearings are adjustable to move the first and second roller bearing axes relative to the frame.
