    摘要: A combination tool for drilling a bore and countersink for that bore includes a countersink member. The countersink member comprises a longitudinal sleeve with a first end and a second end. The sleeve contains a longitudinal bore through the sleeve from the first end to the second end sized to receive a drill bit. A radial slot through the wall of the sleeve is in communication with the longitudinal bore. The sleeve has a cutting edge connected to the first end of the sleeve. A collar containing a radial bore through its wall is slidably inserted over the sleeve. The radial bore is in communication with the radial slot of the countersink member. A fastening mechanism extends through the radial bore of the collar and slot of the countersink member to engage the drill bit inserted through the longitudinal bore of the countersink member and thus secure the drill bit, countersink member and collar relative to one another.

    摘要: A tool for chip removing machining includes a drill and a countersink mounted to the drill. The drill includes a protruding land and at least one chip flute. The countersink includes a body, a plurality of inserts received in respective insert pockets formed in the body, and a plurality of clamps for fixing respective inserts in the pockets. In order to be able to adjust the location of the inserts, pins are arranged for displacement relative to the body. The pins are slidably disposed in holes formed in the body, and adjustment screws are mounted in the body and arranged to displace a respective pin and the associated clamp and cutting insert in response to movement of the adjustment screw.

    摘要: A tool for chip removing machining includes a drill and a countersinker mounted thereto. The countersinker comprises two half-sections that are clamped to each other and to the drill. The drill includes helical flutes defining respective chip-removal channels. Each half-section includes a connection portion received in a respective flute of the drill. The connection portion has a shape generally corresponding to that of the chip flute, so as to be form-locked within the flute. Each connection portion includes a convex surface facing the flute, and a concave surface facing away from the convex portion. The convex surface can be pressed against the concave wall of the flute, whereby the concave surface forms a section of a wall of a respective chip-removal channel.

    摘要: The burr formed on the breakout side of a workpiece during a drilling operation is removed by a deburring bit positioned underneath the workpiece in axial alignment with the drill bit. The drill bit is of the twist type and has at least two longitudinal flutes joined by a web and separated by an equal number of longitudinal lands. The deburring bit has a number of radially extending cutting elements which project radially outwardly from adjacent the bottom of each flute to substantially beyond the diameter of the hole. At the bottom of the flutes, the radially extending cutting elements are spaced to pass the web of the drill bit axially therebetween and to engage the flutes when the drill bit is rotated.
