摘要: A fluid jet cutting device for sectioning materials is provided. The device includes a compact and portable body having an equipment chamber accessible through a first panel, a working chamber accessible through a second panel and a receptacle in communication with the working chamber. A pump assembly and motor are removably positioned on a base in the equipment chamber. A guide assembly is positioned in the working chamber and a cutting head having a nozzle is movably coupled to the guide assembly for movement along three axes. A drive assembly moves the cutting head along the guide assembly. A clamp for holding a work piece includes a first face and a second face movable relative to the first face so as to secure regular, irregular or complex shaped work pieces. A basket is positioned in the receptacle below the clamp and the device may be controlled by way of a touch screen user interface.

摘要: An abrasive waterjet system in accordance with an embodiment of the present technology includes a cutting head, a catcher downstream from the cutting head, and a conveyance configured to carry slurry including abrasive material and liquid collected from the catcher toward the cutting head. The cutting head includes a jet-forming orifice and a mixing chamber downstream from the jet-forming orifice. The cutting head also includes a slurry inlet through which the mixing chamber receives slurry including abrasive material and liquid collected from the catcher. The abrasive waterjet system can be configured for substantially closed-loop recycling of wet abrasive material. This can be useful, for example, to increase abrasive material utilization efficiency and to decrease abrasive material disposal costs. These and/or other benefits may be realized both in the context of low pressure abrasive waterjet systems and in the context of high pressure abrasive waterjet systems.

摘要: To control cutting process with cutting quality to obtain product without any uncut portion on a corner portion, and to respond to a change in cutting speed. Water jet cutting performed by: inputting a cutting program, set cutting speed, cutting parameters; calculating cutting speed matching the cutting quality; calculating cutting shape from the cutting program and dividing the cutting shape into a linear portion and a corner portion; calculating a corner cutting speed for the corner portion on the basis of a shape of the corner portion within range from the calculation cutting speed to the set cutting speed, set cutting speed equal to or higher than the calculation cutting speed; set cutting speed and the corner cutting speed to the linear portion and the corner portion, respectively, in the cutting program; moving the nozzle relative to the workpiece on the basis of the cutting program assigned with cutting speeds.

摘要: A machining arrangement for drilling a hole into a front wall section of a workpiece by way of a machining jet, the front wall section being located in front of a rear wall section of the workpiece, as seen looking in a drilling direction, the rear wall section being disposed with an intermediate space at a distance from the front wall section, the machining arrangement being switchable between a continuous mode, in which the machining jet formed from liquid and abrasive material continuously impinges on the workpiece, and a pulsed mode, in which the machining jet is pulsed, so that the impingement of at least on of said liquid and said abrasive material on the workpiece is recurrently interrupted, the machining arrangement including a controller which is programmed and configured so that the hole is drilled at least partially in the pulsed mode.

摘要: Systems and related methods are provided for adjusting the position and orientation of an end effector of a multi-axis machine (e.g., a manipulable cutting head of a fluid jet cutting machine) relative to a base reference frame. Systems include an adjustable tool mount having a base structure that includes portions or regions that are selectively deformable to adjust a position and an orientation of a tool supported by the adjustable tool mount.
