The blast cabinet includes a basin for gathering abrasive particulate, a covering movable to enclose an opening over the basin, a frame supporting the basin, and a plurality of wheels for rolling movement of the cabinet. The system also includes a plurality of supports for holding the part to be blasted and a track system to guide movement of the cabinet. At least one of the wheels may be configured to mate with the track system, and the track system can be clamped to at least one part support.

The shot-treatment machine comprises a jig 1 having a plurality of axial members 22, each axial member to be passed completely through each tubular portion of one or more workpieces W for holding them, and is detachably mounted on the jig; an enclosure 2 for defining a projection chamber therein; a supporting means 3 for rotatably holding the jig 1 in the projection chamber; a projection device 7 for projecting shots to the workpieces W in the projection chamber; and a circulating mechanism 8 for collecting the shots projected from the projection device 7 and supplying them to the projection device 7.

The mechanism manipulates the workpieces within the path or stream of the shot so that desired surfaces of the workpieces are impacted by the shot. This is accomplished by reciprocal or continuous rotation of the workpiece by the manipulator mechanism and also the angle at which the workpiece is held while being rotated can be adjusted by the mechanism.

The device employs an overhead monorail conveyor for carrying parts to be treated into a blast chamber where the parts are subject to a particulate blast, as for example, abrasive treatment. At least one rotary vestibule is employed to convey the parts on the monorail into and out of the blast chamber while providing dynamic abrasive tight sealing of the entrance and exit openings to the blast chamber.
