The invention relates to a method for monitoring a high-pressure roller press in the course of comminuting, compacting, or briquetting material. The roller press has two rotationally driven press rollers, between which a rolling gap is formed with a gap width that can be modified during operation. During operation, operational data of the roller press is ascertained by one or more measurement value sensors and is stored on a computer. The method is characterized in that the operational data is stored as raw data on an edge computer, as an analysis computer, which is stationed locally in the region of the roller press and is connected to the measurement value sensors, and the raw data is evaluated on the analysis computer using an analysis algorithm so that characteristic data of the roller press is generated and stored on the analysis computer, wherein the characteristic data is transmitted from the analysis computer to at least one terminal via a wireless network and is displayed on the terminal.

The disclosed apparatus defines a soap press component and a grinding component, operatively associated with one another. The grinding component has an inlet for receiving small soap bars or end pieces, and means for grinding them up to even finer pieces or shavings. The soap press component has wall structure defining a chamber having open top and bottom ends; a removable bottom wall is used to close the open bottom end, and a movable upper shaping form is used to close the open top end. A rotatable screw connected to the upper shaping form provides for moving such form from an elevated position spaced above the open top chamber end, to a lowered position extended into and through the chamber. The grinding component outlet discharges the soap pieces or shavings to above the open top chamber end; whereby they drop then into the chamber from the open top end thereof. Rotation of the screw moves the upper mold plate axially into the chamber and against such soap shavings, to pressure form them into a single bar shaped the same as the chamber. The shaped bar is removed from the chamber bottom end, upon opening the bottom wall, by shifting it to an opened position laterally offset from the open bottom end of the chamber.

A shear and breaker structure for use with a briquet forming construction comprising opposed briquetting means adapted to produce a sheet consisting of at least two rows of briquets. The shear means operate to divide the sheet into strips with each strip consisting of at least one row of briquets. The shear means consist of opposed, stationary members, positioned in side-byside relationship with each having a bearing surface for engaging the sheet. The stationary members define an open mouth with the bearing surfaces tapering towards each other to form a throat or juncture. The tapering surfaces thereby divert the briquet strips in different directions upon separation of the sheet at the juncture of the stationary members. Knife edges are formed in the stationary members to facilitate the separation. The bearing surfaces define a pronounced outwardly extending portion beyond the juncture which serves to produce longitudinal stress in the briquet strips thereby creating fracture between the individual briquets to divide the strips into individual briquet portions.

The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing highly compressed cylindrical bales from loose stalk material, such as hay or straw, which is picked up continuously and is compressed to form a rotating compressed roll which flows continuously in an axial direction. Individual compressed roll sections (bales) are successively cut off from the front end of the compressed roll. For producing dimensionally stable bales of varying length, the compressed roll, which is still subject to radial pressure, is bound automatically by a binder during its axially feeding and before a bale is cut off. The binder is delivered under tension and utilizes the rotation and feed of the compression roll.
